Eagles selected LSU DL Bennie Logan with the No. 65 overall pick.
Logan (6-2, 329) was an up-and-down "flash" player in LSU's 4-3 defense, playing three-technique tackle between Keke Mingo and Sam Montgomery. He recorded 12.5 career tackles for loss and five sacks. Logan's motor runs hot and cold and he lacks an elite get-off at the line of scrimmage, but he could be a strong No. 3 tackle as part of a rotation. Dallas Cowboys writer Bryan Broaddus suggests to watch for LSU DL Bennie Logan as a possible day two pick.

He mentions that the team really likes Purdue's Kawann Short. Mentioning Logan is very interesting, as some teams could target the under developed interior defensive lineman in the second-round, but a more realistic shot could be in the third.

CBS Sports' Dane Brugler believes LSU DT Bennie Logan is a really likable prospect.

Logan is "not elite in any one area, but works hard," Brugler tweeted. He "came off strong in interviews too." There was a lot of buzz surrounding Logan prior to the season since he played alongside Barkevious Mingo and Sam Montgomery, but some would characterize 2012 as a disappointment.

Dallas Cowboys Star's Rowan Kavner reports LSU DL Bennie Logan had a workout with the Cowboys.

Logan worked out for the Cowboys a day after teammate and S Eric Reid. The Tigers defensive lineman told Kavner that teams are looking at him as a one or three technique. The Cowboys are perhaps in need of both and Logan could be an option for them. He is considered to be a mid-round selection.

National Football Post's Russ Lande reports LSU DL Bennie Logan is viewed as a mid-round selection before his pro day.

"When Bennie Logan declared for the Draft many expected he would be a high draft pick, but teams have not been impressed with his play on film," Lande wrote. "He is viewed as more of a third or fourth rounder. He needs to step up and have a great workout to overcome concerns that he lacks the high end athleticism to be an impact starter in the NFL. If he does not have a good workout do not be shocked if he slides to the third day of the Draft."

Despite saying he wouldn't be shocked if LSU's Bennie Logan manages to draw an early second-round selection, the NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah believes the DT's effort is inconsistent.

"Logan was a hot/cold player on film," Jeremiah writes. "He made several impressive plays on early tape, but his play tailed off in the later games I studied." Jeremiah adds that Logan has plenty of upside, but remains a work in progress. A second day selection seems likely at this point in the process.

Logan has been lost in the shuffle this season, but this move had been expected since the opening kickoff. The junior offers quick feet to generate pressure, but he may not have put enough on tape to justify a first-round selection. Still, expect to hear Logan's named called during the draft's top two rounds.

SI's Tony Pauline is hearing that LSU junior DT Bennie Logan "has been stamped" as a potential first-round pick by area scouts.

He adds that Logan is expected to enter April's Draft. The LSU product is blessed with a thick lower body but does not have the same natural anchor as former teammate Michael Brockers. However, with his long arms, a team will likely take an early chance on Logan as a three technique interior lineman.

According to one anonymous NFC team executive, LSU junior DT Bennie Logan "needs to get to the quarterback more often."

The anonymous executive added, "He's not having a very productive year to this point, but he definitely has talent." Statistically speaking, third defensive end LaVar Edwards has put up the most sacks on the team, so its tough to discount an interior defensive lineman for their lack of production. The rumor is that Logan has already decided he is entering the 2013 NFL Draft, but he'd be wise to improve on his 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and two quarterback hurries stat line for the season.

Defensive tackle recruit Greg Gilmore hinted that LSU junior DT Bennie Logan will declare early for the NFL.

Gilmore is the same high school recruit who recently hinted that Florida junior DT Sharrif Floyd would also be declaring early. "They're both losing D-linemen -- Florida is losing Sharrif Floyd, and LSU's losing like six guys including Bennie Logan," Gilmore told David Helman of GeauxTigerNation. LSU only has three seniors on the defensive line, so the two other departures are almost certainly junior defensive ends Sam Montgomery and Barkevious Mingo.

LSU sophomore defensive tackle Bennie Logan had the biggest game of his brief career in the Tigers' win at Mississippi State.

After running all over Memphis and Auburn the first two weeks, the Bulldogs had nowhere to go against LSU. While there were a few standouts, Logan had a team-high 3.5 tackles for loss. He also shared a sack with LB Ryan Baker. Thursday was only Logan's sixth-career game and he is yet another example of how the Tigers continue to build top defenses.
