Texas receiver Jaxon Shipley (knee) will play in the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 28.
Shipley missed three games in November due to the injury, but returned for the team's final two games. The freshman is not fully healed, but will tough it out and be on the field against Cal in San Diego. Texas receiver Jaxon Shipley (knee) will not play against Missouri tomorrow.

This will be the second straight week Shipley's right knee will keep him from playing. He hurt the knee Oct. 29 against Kansas. Shipley leads the team in receptions (33), is tied for first in TD catches (3) and is second in yards (438).

Texas WR John Harris has been officially ruled out for Saturday's game at Iowa State due to a foot injury, the university announced.

It is not yet known how long Harris will be sidelined but Shipley stands to benefit with fellow WR Marquise Goodwin struggling for playing time. Shipley leads all Texas receivers in receptions (10) operating primarily out of the slot in Major Applewhite's offense. The true freshman has 139 yards (13.9 average) through three games this season.
