ESPN Scouts Inc. is projecting Auburn senior WR Emory Blake as a late-round pick in April's draft.
Currently participating at East-West Shrine Game practices, Blake and TE Phil Lutzenkirchen were the only two producers in Auburn's pathetic 2012 passing game. Auburn senior WR Emory Blake caught 10 passes for 188 yards, including one touchdown, in Saturday's loss to Arkansas.

Blake was the Tigers' only real offensive threat, consistently getting behind the porous Razorbacks secondary or finding soft areas underneath. The senior is very reliable and will likely be a third day selection.

Auburn offensive coordinator Scott Loeffler said the high number of targets that senior WR Emory Blake and senior TE Phil Lutzenkirchen received was not part of the game plan.

"We actually called plays to spread the ball, all based on coverage," Loeffler said. It is a good sign that sophomore Kiehl Frazier recognized that some receivers were eliminated due to coverage, but Blake and Lutzenkirchen were used somewhat as a safety blanket.

Auburn head coach Gene Chizik said junior WR Emory Blake was only fully healthy for three of the Tigers' games last season.

Blake finished last year with 613 receiving yards and five touchdowns, but Chizik said a high ankle sprain hampered Blake throughout the season. Blake will be fully recovered when the 2012 season begins, which Chizik said "is one of the best things that can happen for our passing game." The 6'1" receiver should be the Tigers' top vertical threat this season.

Auburn receiver Emory Blake is fully healthy and ready to aid a slumping passing game.

Blake played in the Tigers’ last game (Oct. 29 vs Ole Miss) before a bye, though he says he was only 75 percent for that game. The bye helped the junior heal fully for Saturday’s game at Georgia. Even though the ankle injury kept Blake out for three games, he is still the team’s leading receiver with 24-404. Freshman Trovon Reed (shoulder) is healthy as well after missing four of five games.

Auburn coach Gene Chizik says that the availability of receiver Emory Blake (ankle) for Ole Miss on Saturday will be a game-time decision.

Blake suffered the injury at South Carolina on Oct. 1 and sat out the last three weeks. Despite the missed time, he still leads the Tigers in receiving yards (333), touchdowns (4) and is second in receptions (19).

Auburn receiver Emory Blake is questionable for Saturday’s game against Florida with an ankle injury.

The injury kept Blake out of last week's game against Arkansas and may keep him out again. This is not a stellar receiving corps and Blake's potential continued absence would be bad news for a wounded passing game that has totaled 226 yards the past two weeks against the Hogs and South Carolina. Blake, a junior, is 19-333-4 on the season. He caught a team-high 8 TD passes among his 33 receptions a year ago.

Auburn wideout Emory Blake is expected to miss Saturday's game with an ankle injury, according to head coach Gene Chizik.

"We won't know until later on in the week, but we're not hopeful right now. I'm not going to rule him out, but we're planning to play without him," Chizik said. Blake has emerged as the Tigers' number one option at receiver, leading the team with 19 catches for 333 yards and 4 TDs.
