Ravens selected Cal CB Marc Anthony with the No. 247 overall pick.
Anthony (5-foot-11 3/8, 196) made 32 starts at Cal, intercepting five passes and forcing two fumbles. He ran 4.63 at the Combine and did 12 reps on the bench. Anthony lacks great makeup speed and may have to establish himself on special teams before he gets a serious look on defense, but long term he offers press-man traits with a powerful jam and strong hands. Cal CB Marc Anthony will attend the Senior Bowl.

Anthony does his best work in short zones, jumping underneath routes disrupting throwing lanes. He isn't a very well known name, so Anthony will need a good showing against top competition during the week of practice.

Cal corner Marc Anthony is questionable for Thursday's game against visiting USC.

This could be a problem for Jeff Tedford. With Anthony, a solid corner, Cal is 74th in pass defense and has allowed an alarming 10 TDs through the air in five games. USC receiver Robert Woods is 55-747-6 in five games and is tied for the nation’s lead in catches and is second with 149 yards per game. It is going to be tough to contain the Matt Barkley/Woods connection with a sound and healthy secondary. Good luck if there are personnel issues.
