Steelers selected Oklahoma WR Justin Brown with the No. 186 overall pick.
Brown (6-foot3, 207) ran a 4.60 forty and posted an underwhelming 30 1/2-inch vertical at the Sooners' Pro Day. A transfer from Penn State, Brown reeled in 73 passes for 879 yards and five touchdowns as a senior. Brown wins at the catch point, but he'll have trouble separating at the next level. He'll compete for a spot at the bottom of the roster and try and contribute on special teams. Sat, Apr 27, 2013 04:41:00 PM

Oklahoma senior WR Justin Brown caught seven passes for 107 yards and a touchdown Saturday against Iowa State.

Brown was the Sooners other transfer prior to the season, leaving Penn State for Norman. He may not have ideal separation ability, but Brown can create space at the catch point and has reliable hands in close coverage.

Penn State senior WR transfer Justin Brown has played well for Oklahoma and is averaging 22 yards on six punt returns.

Brown has also accumulated six receptions for 87 yards. "He's really affected his teammates just by his maturity and how he handles himself," co-offensive coordinator Jay Norvell said. "(He is) a kid real respectful of his opportunity. He's the greatest example of that." Brown will continue to build a relationship with senior quarterback Landry Jones, but he is off to a good start.

Senior WR Justin Brown will transfer from Penn State to Oklahoma and will arrive for practice on Monday.

Brown had been mulling a transfer for some time after Cincinnati, Illinois, and Oklahoma contacted his high school coach for information and he received an offer from the latter a few days later. The Sooners still have some uncertainty at the position, despite reinstating Jaz Reynolds and Trey Franks, since the duo will miss an unspecified amount of game time. The Nittany Lion finished last season with 35 catches for 517 yards and two touchdowns.

Penn State senior WR Justin Brown is still considering a possible transfer despite preseason practices starting Monday.

"I haven't made a decision yet. I just don't know," Brown said Wednesday. The senior added that he does not have a timetable for his decision, but with preseason camp opening in a matter of days we feel that a transfer would be a surprise. Cincinnati, Illinois, and Oklahoma contacted Brown's high school coach since the NCAA sanctions were handed down and beat writer Ron Musselman stated that the receiver has an offer from Oklahoma on the table. The Nittany Lion finished last season with 35 catches for 517 yards and two touchdowns.

With Derek Moye out, Justin Brown is the leader among Penn State's receivers.

Brown is 19-225-0 and only once in six games this season has he had more than 50 yards receiving. Yet, with Moye out, Brown is PSU's leading receiver and he does have the size (6-3, 215) to go against the more physical corners.
