Despite suffering a broken ankle last October that had to be pinned together, Oklahoma senior RB Dominique Whaley says he is healthy and better than ever.
"I'm a lot stronger, my frame has gotten a lot bigger, I've put on even more weight," he said. Whaley was the Sooners' primary back as a walk-on before going down with the injury. The senior rushed for 627 yards in seven games, averaging 5.5 yards per carry. Whaley's story is an admirable one, spending the early parts of his career as an NAIA benchwarmer before deciding to walk-on at Oklahoma because his girlfriend attended the school. If healthy, he will likely lead the Sooners in carries. Tue, Aug 7, 2012 03:43:00 PM
