With the legal process stemming from a June incident ongoing, Iowa State receiver Albert Gary is making the most of his second chance this season.

Previously suspended for three games, Gary’s return to the Cyclones was an opportunity many understandably feel he should have never had. Gary’s alleged role in a June robbery -- he served jail time before being released on $25,000 bond, but could be in for stiff sentence if found guilty – is not some small boys-will-be-boys detail. What also was not small was how he played in last Friday’s upset of then-No. 2 Oklahoma State.

Robbery charges from a June incident are pending for Iowa State receiver Albert Gary.

Gary’s misjudgment resulted in a three-game suspension earlier this season. A sophomore, who did not play last season, Gary made his collegiate debut and caught his first pass Oct. 22 against Texas A&M. He played a noticeable role in a win over Kansas going 5-57.
