Oklahoma senior WR Jalen Saunders only dropped 3.1 percent of the passes thrown his way.
According to Greg Peshek of The Sideline View, "Saunders is one of the more safe prospects statistically at this stage." On top of his low drop percentage, "he also gained 7.1 yards after the catch when Kenny Stills only averaged 3.1 yards after the catch in the same offense." We love Saunders' projection to the slot, but many will question his rail thin frame. May 8 - 8:46 AM

Oklahoma junior WR Jalen Saunders will play in the Cotton Bowl despite being arrested earlier this month.

Saunders and a teammate were arrested on "complaints of misdemeanor marijuana possession during a traffic stop... just a few hours after the Sooners defeated TCU to end the regular season." Saunders has been a critical piece of the Sooners passing game success and is easily the team's best receiver. His quickness to separate form the slot is outstanding.

Oklahoma junior WR Jalen Saunders was arrested over the weekend on a complaint of possession of a controlled substance.

Defensive back Cortez Johnson faces the same charges. ESPN's Jake Trotter broke the news and later added that the substance was marijuana. Saunders has been an absolute stud after being declared eligible following a transfer from Fresno State. He is the Sooners best offensive weapon and we expect him to return to Oklahoma next season.

Oklahoma junior WR Jalen Saunders recorded seven receptions for 108 yards and one interception Saturday against TCU.

We doubt Saunders declares for the Draft due to a shortened season, but we hope he does. The junior is an absolute weapon from the slot, utilizing quick cuts and elusiveness in routes and after the catch. He has become one of the Sooners top offensive weapons, if not the most important.

Oklahoma junior WR Jalen Saunders caught 15 passes for 181 yards Saturday against Notre Dame.

Saunders is quite the midseason acquisition for the Sooners after being cleared to play immediately by the NCAA following an offseason transfer from Fresno State. The junior is excellent in the slot and is blessed with burst after the catch, so expect Saunders to continue to be heavily featured in the Sooners' offense.

Fresno State transfer, now Oklahoma junior WR Jalen Saunders was deemed eligible to play immediately, and he will suit up Saturday against Texas.

Saunders previously had his immediate eligibility waiver denied by the NCAA, but something must have changed since September. The Sooners offense has struggled, but not for a lack of weapons. Saunders is a slot threat with great open field ability. He led Fresno State in receiving in 2011 with 50 catches, 1,065 yards and 12 touchdowns and has two years of eligibility remaining, including this season.

Fresno State WR transfer Jalen Saunders was denied his appeal for immediate eligibility to play with Oklahoma during the 2012 season.

Saunders will be forced to redshirt this season but should keep his remaining two years of eligibility. He led Fresno State in receiving last season as a sophomore with 50 catches, 1,065 yards and 12 touchdowns.

After last month’s announcement regarding his intention to transfer out of Fresno State, Jalen Saunders has decided to play at Oklahoma.

Saunders will have to sit out the 2012 season as he is transferring from one FBS program to another. Starting in 2013 he should give the Sooners two outstanding seasons. Saunders is a small (5-9), but fleet receiver who earned all-WAC honors last season after averaging 21.3 yards per catch, which was the best in the FBS among receivers with at least 30 receptions. Saunders was 50-1,065-12.

Receiver Jalen Saunders will transfer out of Fresno State.

Saunders did not care for his role in new coach Tim DeRuyter’s offense, so he will be leaving the Valley. Saunders was moved from outside to the slot and was not getting his hands on the ball as much as we accustomed under former long-time Bulldogs coach Pat Hill. In Hill’s pro-style system, the 5-foot-9 Saunders led the team with 1,065 yards on 50 receptions last season. He scored 12 TDs.
