After biding his time working out at fullback, LSU’s Kenny Hilliard has been making some nice contributions as a tailback.
Hilliard’s recent play has gone well beyond the goal-line and other short-yardage situations with which he was utilized earlier in the season. Much of the credit for LSU’s 41-3 run against Arkansas last week after falling behind 14-0 goes to Hilliard. The freshman easily had season highs with 19 carries and 102 yards and he also had his sixth TD. The week before at Ole Miss, Hilliard was 9-59-1.
