Purdue has indefinitely suspended junior WR O.J. Ross for a violation of team rules.
Ross was the school's second leading receiver in 2012. This isn't the receiver's first time being on the outs, as he almost failed to qualify academically last Spring. It has not been specified how long Ross will be suspended for. Feb 2 - 4:28 PM

O.J. Ross is on his way to re-joining the Boilermakers.

Ross found it difficult to find his way to class, but he appears to be on the right path both academically and, as a result, to again contribute on the field. Ross, whose academic issues resulted in his being suspended for last year’s Little Caesars Bowl, caught 33 passes for 356 yards and 3 TDs in 2011. He will have junior eligibility in the fall.

Purdue receiver O.J. Ross, who was suspended on Dec. 6 for violating team rules, will not play in the Little Ceasars Bowl against Western Michigan.

The receiver's problems are with academics, and while he is coming around in that area, he has missed too much practice time. He is the Boilermakers' third-leading receiver in both receptions (33) and yards (356).
