No eligible prospects were chosen during Thursday's Supplemental Draft.
This was expected. Our own Josh Norris considers Purdue receiver O.J. Ross the top prospect from the group, but Houston receiver DeWayne Peace could draw some looks as well. All six eligible prospects could get a look in NFL camps, including: UNLV defensive end James Boyd, UNLV defensive tackle Nate Holloway, UCF defensive end Toby Jackson, and South Alabama corner Damond Smith. ESPN's Ed Werder has been told by one NFL GM that it is unlikely Thursday's Supplemental Draft will produce a pick.

Six eligible prospects have been ruled eligible for the draft, including: UNLV defensive end James Boyd, UNLV defensive tackle Nate Holloway, Central Florida defensive end Toby Jackson, Houston receiver DeWayne Peace, Purdue receiver O.J. Ross, and South Alabama cornerback Damond Smith. Ross and Peace seemingly have the best chance, but interested teams likely believe they can court these talents to sign for training camp.

Former Purdue WR O.J. Ross has been deemed eligible for the Supplemental Draft on July 11.

Ross registered 56 catches for 454 yards and two touchdowns in 2012, making him the Boilermakers' top receiver. He was indefinitely suspended this winter for a violation of team rules, and he almost failed to academically qualify for the 2012 season. "The 5-11, 186-pounder possesses good quickness to make defenders miss and above average hands," CBS Sports' Rob Rang writes. "He is more quick than fast, however, and may not possess the top-end speed teams are looking for in a mid-sized wideout."

Purdue has indefinitely suspended junior WR O.J. Ross for a violation of team rules.

Ross was the school's second leading receiver in 2012. This isn't the receiver's first time being on the outs, as he almost failed to qualify academically last Spring. It has not been specified how long Ross will be suspended for.

O.J. Ross is on his way to re-joining the Boilermakers.

Ross found it difficult to find his way to class, but he appears to be on the right path both academically and, as a result, to again contribute on the field. Ross, whose academic issues resulted in his being suspended for last year’s Little Caesars Bowl, caught 33 passes for 356 yards and 3 TDs in 2011. He will have junior eligibility in the fall.

Purdue receiver O.J. Ross, who was suspended on Dec. 6 for violating team rules, will not play in the Little Ceasars Bowl against Western Michigan.

The receiver's problems are with academics, and while he is coming around in that area, he has missed too much practice time. He is the Boilermakers' third-leading receiver in both receptions (33) and yards (356).
