Louisville sophomore WR Michaelee Harris will miss the 2012 season after tearing the ACL in his left knee.

Harris already entered preseason camp rehabbing a torn ACL in his right knee, but went down during a 7-on-7 drill Thursday. Knee issues have really hurt Harris during his career, after missing all of the 2012 season to recover and this marks his fourth major injury to that area. The redshirt sophomore led the team in receiving last season with 455 yards on 37 catches and expect junior Damian Copeland to receive more targets in his absence.

Louisville receiver Michaelee Harris (knee) is out for the Belk Bowl.

Harris sustained the injury in practice and may be out through spring practice next year, according to head coach Charlie Strong. The freshman led the Cardinals in receptions with 37 and receiving yards with 455. Though he only had two touchdowns on the season, the loss is a significant one and will be missed when the team takes on NC State on Dec. 27. Eli Rogers and Josh Chichester are the team's next leading receivers with 34 and 27 catches, respectively.
