Chargers selected Baylor WR Tevin Reese with the No. 240 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.
Reese (5-foot-9 5/8, 163) earned first-team All-Big 12 honors as a senior despite missing five games with a dislocated wrist, and finished his career with 187 catches, 3,102 yards (16.6 YPR), and 24 touchdowns. He ran 4.46 at the Combine, adding wildly explosive vertical (41") and broad jumps (11-foot). A poor man's Kendall Wright, Reese was a college deep threat whose game will have to change in the pros. He's not big enough to win outside, and doesn't play with toughness to man the slot. Reese also returned just one kickoff in college, so he lacks special teams experience. His NFL offensive coordinator will have to get creative to make Reese work. May 10 - 6:32 PM

Baylor senior WR Tevin Reese (wrist) is expected to be ready to play in the Fiesta Bowl against UCF.

"We're planning on having him back and that's a big boost for him and us as a football team," Baylor coach Art Briles said. "It will definitely give us a boost offensively because he's a guy that can scare a defense." Reese dislocated his wrist against Oklahoma in November and hasn't played since. "I don't know if I can put it into words – it's an overwhelming feeling," Reese said. "It was tough being out knowing I can't help my teammates. It tested my patience, but it let me know the kind of player I need to be off the field." The senior is one of the top home-run threats in college football.

Baylor senior WR Tevin Reese dislocated his wrist against Oklahoma and will miss the remainder of the season.

Reese and head coach Art Briles are optimistic that the receiver will return for the school's bowl game, but this is definitely a big loss. The senior is one of the top deep threats in college football. Junior Antwan Goodley will surely see more targets.

Baylor senior WR Tevin Reese caught four passes for 130 yards and a touchdown against Buffalo.

Reese is practically a one trick pony, but plenty of Baylor receivers are. He shines on vertical routes thanks to his speed, but Reese can curl those routes back to the outside. A few receivers have been able to expand their games out of this style, and Reese will have a shot.

Baylor senior WR Tevin Reese dropped 13.1 percent of targets thrown his way in 2012.

Reese did average around nine yards after the catch, which is a number larger than Tavon Austin's total in 2012. However, this drop percentage was even worse than Justin Hunter, who was widely criticized for his unreliable hands. Reese will need to take the next step in 2013 and continue the trend for ultra productive receivers from Baylor.

11 of Baylor junior WR Tevin Reese's 12 career touchdown receptions have gone for 40 yards or more.

We feel this summarizes Reese's skills very well, a vertical target that can be coverage with speed but he lacks the ability to separate on underneath routes. The Baylor offense is built on stretching coverages vertically and achieves that strategy very well, but Reese will need plenty of refinement.
