Eastern Washington QB Kyle Padron will enter the NFL Draft.
Padron did not start all season, but he finished off the season strong. The former SMU Mustang may have been told he would not be starting in 2013, so a jump to the NFL was a logical decision. We aren't sure if he will be drafted. Fri, Jan 11, 2013 09:31:00 AM

Former SMU quarterback Kyle Padron is transferring to Eastern Washington.

Padron lost his starting job to J.J. McDermott last season and wanted out. He decided to follow in the footsteps of Bo Levi Mitchell, another SMU quarterback who transferred to EWU. It certainly worked for Mitchell, who won an FCS title and Walter Payton Award (player of the year in FCS) with the Eagles. Padron threw for 3,828 yards and 31 TDs as the Mustangs' starter in 2010.
