LSU sophomore RB Jeremy Hill has been suspended indefinitely.
Baton Rouge Police arrested and jailed Hill over the weekend on a misdemeanor charge of simple battery after an incident at a bar near the LSU campus. Hill now "could be in violation of his probation stemming from a guilty plea to a previous misdemeanor arrest" while he was in high school, according to USA Today. Hill led the team in rushing in 2012, accounting for 755 yards and 12 touchdowns on 142 carries. Apr 29 - 2:21 PM

Coach Les Miles has plenty of good things to say about running back Jeremy Hill, who is not likely to redshirt.

Hill took the 2011 season off following his arrest (sexual battery) early in the year. He enrolled at LSU in January and, as the Tigers’ spring practice winds down, has made a nice impression carrying the football. Last season’s leading rusher, Michael Ford, has been bothered by a knee injury which has allowed Hill to get some more exposure in what is a busy backfield this spring. Miles admires Hill’s strength and talent and indicated the freshman is not likely to be redshirted.
