Rams signed TCU RB Aaron Green.
Green (5'11/203) spent three years with the Horned Frogs after transferring from Nebraska, parlaying 445 career carries into 2,426 yards (5.5 YPC) and 20 touchdowns. He also caught 39 passes. Green showed passable athleticism at TCU's Pro Day, running 4.57 with a 10-foot broad jump and 6.89 three-cone time. Although Green has exciting foot quickness and some playmaking ability, he "runs small" inside the tackles and struggles badly in pass protection. He's a lower-end scatback prospect. May 1 - 6:49 PM

TCU RB Aaron Green should have been invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, believes Pro Football Focus' Jordan Plocher.

"Aaron Green is small, but quick and elusive. He can make people miss in the open field," he wrote. "Despite his small stature Green, held his own in pass protection drills at Senior Bowl practice. That combined with his pass-catching ability means he can be on the field on third downs. Green was the most productive running back by far during team drills in Mobile, ripping off several nice runs. He demonstrated his versatile skill set and made a statement — he deserves to be competing with the best players in the country." CBS Sports draft analyst Dane Brugler agrees with this assessment, calling the 5-foot-11, 205-pounder "a possible later round pick." Added the analyst: "Green has electric feet to juke his way out of trouble. His lack of power limits his NFL role, but with his creative athleticism in space, he deserves to be in Indianapolis."

TCU RB Aaron Green did not receive an invite to the NFL Scouting Combine.

Green played in both the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl and the Senior Bowl, but the combine won't be in his future. CBS Sports draft analyst Dane Brugler deemed the 5-foot-11, 205-pound TCU product "a possible later round pick." Wrote the analyst, "Green has electric feet to juke his way out of trouble. His lack of power limits his NFL role, but with his creative athleticism in space, he deserves to be in Indianapolis."

TCU RB Aaron Green rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown on five carries in Saturday's Reese's Senior Bowl.

Green's worked double-duty in the pre-draft bowl season, as he also rushed for 38 yards on seven carries in last weekend's NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. More/less identical numbers for the former Horned Frog on Saturday. The 5-foot-11, 205-pounder did manage to find the end zone this time around, on a very, very nice first-quarter 25-yard effort which saw him squirming through a hole on the left side before he cut back to the right sideline on his way to glory. Green's drawbacks aren't small--he lacks the kind of breakaway speed that would help to separate him from the pack of NFL hopeful runners--but his ability to move and groove should help him in evaluations.

TCU RB Aaron Green rushed for 38 yards on seven carries in Saturday's NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

As tends to be the case with these kinds of games, Green didn't see a ton of carries. He did fine with his seven, though, averaging 5.4 YPC with a long run of 18 yards. The 5-foot-11, 205-pounder was a consistently underrated player in the most recent incarnation of the Horned Frogs. He managed 1,272 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2015. While he lacks true breakaway speed, he's demonstrated a fantastic sense of spacing and timing. In a thinner RB class, he's a potential mid-round selection.

TCU redshirt senior RB Aaron Green accepted an invitation to play in the Senior Bowl.

Green received a quick upgrade from the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, where he'd recently pledged. The 5-foot-11, 205-pounder rushed for 1,272 yards and 11 touchdowns in his final season of eligibility. Lance Zierlein of NFL.com calls Green a "creative runner with instant change-of-direction skills."

TCU redshirt senior RB Aaron Green has accepted an invite to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

Green tallied 101 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries in Saturday's wild 47-41 3OT win over Oregon in the Alamo Bowl. For the season, the 5-foot-11, 205-pound redshirt senior rushed for 1,272 yards and 11 touchdowns. Over the summer, Lance Zierlein of NFL.com called Green a "creative runner with instant change-of-direction skills." He'll look to show those off for scouts when the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl kicks off on January 23.

TCU redshirt senior RB Aaron Green rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries in Saturday's 47-41 3OT win over Oregon in the Valero Alamo Bowl.

This wasn't Green's flashiest game, but he acted as a steady metronome (4.0 YPC) and helped Trevone Boykin fill-in-QB Bram Kohlhausen to settle into the rhythm of the night. The 5-foot-11, 205-pound redshirt senior scored his touchdown in the thick of TCU's comeback effort (they trailed 31-0 at halftime), taking a little toss to the right and reaching for the pylon with 3:32 remaining. That, plus a successful two-point conversion, drew the Horned Frogs to within 31-28. They would tie it up on a field goal with 19 seconds remaining before out-enduring Oregon in three overtimes. Sweet. Green finished the 2015 campaign with at least 100 yards rushing in three of his last four games, compiling 1,272 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns over the course of the season as a whole.
Jan 3 - 12:16 AM

TCU redshirt senior RB Aaron Green rushed for 177 yards on 30 carries in Saturday's 23-17 win over Kansas.

He chipped in three catches for 16 yards. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound redshirt senior needed to step up today with the Horned Frogs getting basically zero from offensive stars Trevone Boykin and Josh Doctson. Green came through, topping 100 yards for the first time since October 10 against Kansas State.

TCU redshirt senior RB Aaron Green rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries in Saturday's 49-29 loss to Oklahoma State.

Green's now failed to rush for 100 yards in three consecutive games after hitting that mark three times in his first six games. Overall, the 5-foot-11, 205-pound redshirt senior's sliced his way to 796 yards with nine touchdowns scored. He's a relatively safe option in daily leagues, but potential owners should keep in mind that Green's slumped off a bit as of late.

TCU redshirt senior RB Aaron Green turned 28 carries into 162 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's wild 55-52 win over Texas Tech.

Everybody on TCU's offense was putting up numbers in this game, but Green might be the unsung hero for the Horned Frogs. He sliced and diced the Red Raiders repeatedly and kept several drives alive using his immaculate sense of balance and space to find holes that other runners might not have seen. While his long carry went for a relatively quiet 33 yards, the game was yet another example of why the 5-foot-11, 190-pound redshirt senior is absolutely crucial to TCU's playoff hopes. For the season, he's rushed for 442 yards and six touchdowns. He's logged 164 and 164 yards on the ground in each of his last two games and has scored two touchdowns in three consecutive contests.

NFL Media analyst Lance Zierlein notes that TCU redshirt senior RB Aaron Green "is a creative runner with instant change-of-direction skills that allow him to cut and go without gearing down."

Zierlein ranks Green as the nation's No. 10 RB. "Green features outstanding play speed over the first 20 yards, and he's a smooth pass catcher with a chance to create matchup issues out of the backfield," Zierlein wrote. "The only real knock on Green is that he's a little undersized and could stand to be a strong run finisher." The 5-foot-11, 202-pound Green, a transfer from Nebraska, had 922 yards on 129 carries (7.1 YPC) with nine touchdowns to earn second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2014. Regarding those numbers, consider this: Green didn't have more than six carries in a game until November 1, and he didn't have as many as 20 in any game all season. With B.J. Catalon gone, Green is going to break out in a huge way this year.

TCU redshirt senior RB Aaron Green "is the clear centerpiece of the running back rotation as a senior, bringing big-play speed to a high-powered offense," writes Sports on Earth's Matt Brown.

The transfer from Nebraska had 922 yards on 129 carries with nine touchdowns to earn second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2014. With B.J. Catalon gone, Green will be in line for even more work in 2015.

TCU redshirt senior RB Aaron Green "could be one of the top-five senior prospects at his position in the 2016 class," according to CBS Sports' Dane Brugler.

"Although he lacks ideal long-speed, he is a determined and focused runner, taking advantage of each touch with terrific instincts in space. Green also showed he could be a reliable pass catcher with 19 receptions for 166 yards and two touchdowns last season. He has his limitations, but could be one of the top-five senior prospects at his position in the 2016 class," Brugler wrote. The TCU prospect earned the starting RB job with 4 games left in the season, and racked up 922 yards on 129 carries with nine touchdowns, while earning second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2014.

TCU junior RB Aaron Green had 19 carries for 128 yards and two touchdowns on Saturday.

That marks back-to-back nice starts for Green, who's rolling in place of B.J. Catalon (upper-body). He ran up the middle for a nice 24-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter, showcasing the acceleration and burst that scouts like from the runner. Green is a San Antonio native and transferred to TCU because Ameer Abdullah was blocking his path for running glory. Once Catalon returns, TCU is expected to split carries between the two backs.
