Browns signed LSU OT Chris Faulk.
Faulk (6-5, 331) made just 15 career starts at LSU before a torn right ACL and MCL ended his junior season after one game. He required separate surgeries for each knee ligament, but declared for the draft anyway. A possible late first-rounder before the injuries, Faulk's best NFL position is likely right tackle. When healthy, he flashes an aggressive mean streak in the run game. He'll compete for a swing tackle role with the Browns if he proves healthy. Sat, Apr 27, 2013 10:04:00 PM

LSU T Chris Faulk visited the Saints on Tuesday.

This will likely be deemed a local visit thanks to the location of the school Faulk attended. He was set to start at left tackle in 2012 prior to a season ending knee injury, but Faulk will likely play the right side as long as he improves his strength on first contact.

LSU junior LT Chris Faulk will declare for April's NFL Draft, according to his father.

Faulk was lost for the season in early September with a knee injury, but he had played on the left side prior to being sidelined. We think he projects to the right side, but he still needs to gain an aggressive attitude.

LSU starting junior left tackle Chris Faulk is out for the rest of the 2012 season with a knee injury.

The news comes days after head coach Les Miles revealed that Faulk would miss Saturday's contest against Washington. Although no specifics were given, Faulk's knee injury is "major" and will require surgery in the near future. Apparently the injury occurred during Wednesday's practice, and the news will obviously interrupt Faulk's 15 consecutive starts on the blind side. The three prime candidates to take over at left tackle are sixth-year senior Josh Dworaczyk, current starting left guard La'el Collins and starting right tackle Alex Hurst.

LSU starting junior LT Chris Faulk is out for Saturday's game against Washington.

No details have been given about the type of injury at this time. Head coach Les Miles did add that, "We don't know exactly how bad (the injury is)." Washington did register four sacks in their season opener, and junior Chris Davenport has been listed as Faulk's backup at left tackle.

LSU T Chris Faulk started all 12 games at LT last year as a redshirt sophomore.

Faulk made big strides throughout his first year as a starter. Former NFL personnel man Russ Lande says teams are intrigued by Faulk's ability to block with aggressiveness and athleticism versus speed rushers. That athletic footwork is certainly important for a 6'5/325 pound left tackle, and with a solid year Faulk should be mentioned as an early pick.
