Packers selected Iowa S Micah Hyde with the No. 159 overall pick.
Hyde (5-foot-11 3/4, 197) logged 38 starts for the Hawkeyes, seeing action at both corner and safety and recording eight career interceptions. He played right cornerback in 2012. Hyde ran 4.56 at the Combine with a 33-inch vertical and 10-foot-1 broad jump. He was arrested twice as a senior, once for public intox and again for disorderly conduct. If he gets his head on straight, Hyde will offer position flexibility and core special teams value in Green Bay. Sat, Apr 27, 2013 03:20:00 PM

Iowa senior Micah Hyde is listed as a starting CB for this week's game against Michigan State despite being arrested for public intoxication on Saturday.

Head coach Kirk Ferentz previously announced in a statement that Hyde, along with two other Hawkeyes, would be punished but refused to disclose the specific punishment for each. Hyde, a future NFL player, appears to be set to play against the Spartans, but these things are always fluid.

Iowa senior CB Micah Hyde was arrested early on Saturday morning on counts of public intoxication and interference with official acts.

Details have not been disclosed, but Hyde remained in jail as of 8:30 Saturday morning. The senior is a legitimate third-day selection in the 2013 Draft, especially since evaluators seem to favor Hawkeye prospects for their readiness and work ethic. Iowa is off this week and no announcement has been made regarding a possible suspension for Hyde.
