Texas A&M TE or T Cameron Clear is scheduled to visit the Pittsburgh Steelers on April 13.
Clear is a bulkier tight end who could move to tackle in the NFL, but some teams might view him as an inline tight end who can improve as a receiver. According to Charean Williams, Clear met with scouts from the Patriots, 49ers and Browns during his pro day workout. Mar 9 - 12:41 PM

Texas A&M senior TE Cameron Clear was invited to the 2015 NFL combine in Indianapolis.

CBS Sports' Dane Brugler was surprised by the news. "With only five catches in 11 games as a senior, it's easy to overlook Clear, but NFL scouts think he was underutilized in College Station," Brugler wrote. "Built well for the NFL game at 6-5 and 273 pounds, Clear is also more agile than his size suggests." Clear is a lauded run blocker, and can function as an extra tackle in pass protection.

Texas A&M senior TE Cameron Clear accepted an invitation to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

Clear traveled a circuitous path to College Station. He was dismissed from Tennessee a few years ago due to off-field issues, and spent the 2012 season at the JUCO level before landing in Texas. The 6-foot-6, 270-pound Clear is a lauded run blocker, and can function as an extra tackle in pass protection. Though he isn't as skilled as a receiver, Clear moves well for a big man.

NFL.com's Chase Goodbread believes Texas A&M JUCO TE transfer Cameron Clear's biggest impact will be as a run blocker.

"At 6-6, 270 pounds, Clear wouldn't figure to be much of a fit for TAMU's hurry-up, no-huddle offensive attack," Goodbread writes. "But with opposing defenses devising better ways to pressure star quarterback Johnny Manziel, Clear could be a valuable pass protector on the edge, or provide an easy dump-off target when Manziel needs a quick release. But it's run blocking where Clear will help the most." Clear has already generated plenty of preseason buzz, and we expect him to show "plus" movement skills for his size.

Texas A&M junior TE Cameron Clear was "hard to miss" during spring activities, according to ESPN's Chris Low.

Clear was dismissed from Tennessee a few years ago due to off-field issues, and spent the 2012 season at the JUCO level. The junior "catches the ball extremely well and will add another dimension to that offense," according to Low. Redshirt sophomore receiver Mike Evans and Clear could combine for a great possession duo who specialize in making contested catches.

Cameron Clear dismissed from team three days following arrest.

Clear was caught with a stolen laptop and charged with felony theft on Tuesday. Coach Derek Dooley suspended Clear indefinitely before deciding the tight end could no longer be part of the team. Clear was expected to have a much more substantial role in the offense in 2012 as the No. 2 tight end behind Mychal Rivera. The 6-foot-6, 283-pounder caught one pass last season.
