Some may be surprised of the decision, but after Wing was suspended for the school's bowl game, a report surfaced that stated the punter had failed multiple drug tests over the last few seasons. According to a report from Tiger Rag, redshirt sophomore P Brad Wing's days are numbered at LSU due to multiple failed drug tests.

The same reports states that Wing is expected to enter April's NFL Draft. This news comes on the heels of LSU announcing that Wing would be held out of the team's bowl game. "According to one source in the athletic department, Wing’s suspension is related to a failed drug test. Wing was suspended for LSU’s opener against North Texas, also a result of a failed drug test, the source said." LSU stated that Wing's absence from the North Texas games was related to a sore hamstring.

LSU will hold sophomore P Brad Wing out for the school's bowl game against Clemson.

The absence will actually be classified as a suspension, but no reason was given for the decision. Wing will be replaced by freshman Jamie Keehn, a fellow Australian.
