Redskins selected Georgia S Bacarri Rambo with the No. 191 overall pick.
Rambo (6-foot-1, 211) is a center-field safety with elite ballhawking ability, intercepting 16 career passes as a 36-game starter for the Dawgs. He also forced six fumbles. Rambo ran forty times of 4.64 and 4.66 with a 34-inch vertical at the UGA Pro Day. Rambo isn't a great tackler and was suspended four games in 2012 for a positive marijuana test, but safeties with cover skills have rising value in the increasingly pass-happy NFL. He could be the Redskins' Week 1 starter at free safety. Sat, Apr 27, 2013 04:53:00 PM

The Sideline View's Lance Zierlein reports Georgia S Bacarri Rambo dealt with a hamstring injury throughout Senior Bowl week.

Zierlein wondered earlier in the week if Rambo was hurt after the Georgia safety was late to close and appeared to favor an injury. Rambo is usually quite agile, especially at a center field, ball hawking spot. He might be a third- to fifth-round option in April.

Georgia S Bacarri Rambo will attend the Senior Bowl.

Rambo was a ball hawk in 2011 and earned national honors because of it. He started 2012 slow due to off field issues, but Rambo is at his bets as a center fielder with the ability to make plays on the football.

Georgia beat writer Seth Emerson believes senior S Bacarri Rambo has returned to last year's form.

Rambo missed the first four games of the season due to a suspension and struggled upon his return. Last year, Rambo earned plenty of national honors after finishing with eight interceptions, but we felt those statistics and titles outshone his actual skills. Still, we would feel comfortable with a team using a third- or fourth-round selection on Rambo.

Georgia senior S Bacarri Rambo and junior LB Alec Ogletree are officially back from suspension and will play Saturday against Tennessee.

Head coach Mark Richt said earlier that if either player was suited up for warmups they would play, and both entered the field in full pads. The two Bulldog defenders were suspended for four games a piece due to offseason run-ins with the law, but their return could not have come at a better time.

Georgia senior S Bacarri Rambo and junior Alec Ogletree are not dressed for Saturday's game against Vanderbilt.

This is the fourth, and likely final, game the two have missed due to suspension. Expect both defensive leaders to play next week versus Tennessee, but it is unclear if either will start.

Georgia senior S Bacarri Rambo and junior LB Alec Ogletree are expected to be stay on suspension for the team's next two games.

Senior defensive back Sanders Commings and junior linebacker Chase Vasser were allowed to return this week, meaning their suspensions only last two games. Despite having more experience at cornerback, Commings will likely take Rambo's place at safety until the all-american returns. Both expect to return for the week five contest against Tennessee.

Georgia senior S Bacarri Rambo, junior LB Alec Ogletree, senior CB Sanders Commings, and junior Chase Vasser will reportedly be held out of Saturday's game versus Missouri.

Rambo and Ogletree's suspensions are just carry overs from last week's missed game and stem from separate incidents. Commings and Vasser were already informed of their two game suspension. The news broke after all four were not on the team's flight to Missouri, but the program has yet to comment on their absence, or attendance.

Georgia senior S Bacarri Rambo and junior ILB Alec Ogletree will not play in the team's opener against Buffalo on Saturday.

Rambo was suspended for the Bulldogs' first four games back in Match for failing a random drug test, but these suspensions are never set in stone. The reason for Ogletree's suspension was never disclosed, but this is not his first off the field issue. Georgia is loaded with defensive talent, and we even prefer Rambo's companion at safety, senior Shawn Williams, as a prospect.

Georgia senior S Bacarri Rambo will be suspended for the school's first four games after failing a random drug test.

Rambo tested positive for marijuana. The 2011 All-American's high school coach, Alan Ingram, announced the news, and added that he thinks Rambo was a victim of circumstance. Ingram claims Rambo woke up one morning during a spring break trip with friends and accidentally consumed a pot brownie. This is not Rambo's first suspension, as he missed last year's season opener for undisclosed reasons. In March, after the suspension was announced, it was rumored that Rambo may consider the Supplemental Draft but there have been no updates since.
