Falcons selected Clemson DE Malliciah Goodman with the No. 127 overall pick.
Goodman (6-foot-3 5/8, 276) registered 21.5 career tackles for loss, 12 sacks, and four forced fumbles as a 28-game starter for the Tigers. He ran 4.87 at the Combine with a 1.65 ten-yard split and 31.5-inch vertical. Though not explosive off the snap, Goodman is an incredibly long-armed (36 3/8") power player who drew pre-draft interest from 3-4 teams as a five-technique end and 4-3 teams as a base left end. Clemson pass rusher Malliciah Goodman is visiting the Steelers on Wednesday.

Beat writer Ed Bouchette, who reported the visit, lists Goodman as an outside linebacker, but we think he would play more defensive end for the Steelers. Brett Keisel is getting up there in age, and Goodman has tremendous length that, if maximized, could offer plenty of separation in the three man front.

Clemson DE Malliciah Goodman has visits lined up with the Falcons and Steelers.

Goodman isn't exceptionally quick off the snap, but his massive length (36 inch arms) stand out among all other pass rushers. He flashed brilliance when using that length to press and create separation, but was shut down when locked up close to his opponent's frame. The Steeler connection is a bit confusing, since we struggle to see him rushing from a two point stance.

Clemson senior DE Malliciah Goodman tallied three tackles for loss, including two sacks, against LSU.

We have been waiting for Goodman to produce this type of performance all season. The senior projects as a power rusher off the edge, but too often he is not willing to engage and press offensive linemen to keep them on skates. Goodman will soon decide between attending the Shrine or Senior Bowl.

Clemson DE Malliciah Goodman has accepted an invitation to attend the Senior Bowl.

Goodman has already been announced as attending the East-West Shrine Game, which is held a week prior to the Senior Bowl. Prospects rarely attend both outside of an injury fill-in or late addition, so we expect Goodman to choose the Senior Bowl. In order to earn an early third day selection, Goodman needs to consistently win with power while showcasing an ability to shed and make plays in the backfield.

Clemson senior DE Malliciah Goodman has been invited to the East-West Shrine Game.

Goodman is another senior defensive end that did not necessarily live up to expectation his final year. The Tiger did finish the season much stronger than he started it, but Goodman will have to make a living off of his strength and length rather than burst and bend around the edge.

The NFL has announced that they will conduct 10 regional combines to supplement the annual national scouting combine held in Indianapolis.

The combines will begin in late January in Hawaii and last until the beginning of April at Cowboys Stadium. 14 players that attended these regional combines are now on an NFL roster.
