USC TE Randall Telfer visited the Eagles and worked out for them, according to Jacob Klinger.
Telfer once looked like a promising prospect, but a slow career and Tony Pauline's note that he looked disinterested "in the pre-draft process" will worry teams. Telfer did not participate in the on-field portion of the Combine. He projects inline. Mar 30 - 1:10 PM

USC TE Randall Telfer is a "dedicated run blocker who is willing to scrap it out with the man across from him on each snap," observed NFL Media draft analyst Lance Zierlein.

Telfer checks in as Zierlein's No. 9 tight end in the class. "Telfer has average size for an NFL tight end and is unlikely to dazzle teams as a pass catcher, but his willingness and effectiveness as a run blocker could have teams looking at him as their run-blocking tight end for '12 personnel' packages," Zierlein wrote. Telfer had a relatively meager 65 catches and 12 touchdowns over the course of his career, but he does have his uses. "You can't find someone to say a negative word about him in those (USC) offices. Plays hurt, tough, leader and a good teammate," an AFC South area scout said about him. Zierlein compares him to Rhett Ellison.

TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline reports "I’m not hearing good things about" USC TE Randall Telfer.

"Dating back to the NFLPA game I was told the tight end is out of shape and does not seem serious about the pre-draft process," Pauline wrote. This report is very interesting. Telfer pulled out of the NFLPA Bowl citing a foot injury he incurred in a bowl win over Nebraska. Has a severe foot injury forced him out of the gym this winter? Or, as this report suggests, is Telfer loafing through the process? As a Trojan, Telfer caught 65 passes for 648 yards and 12 touchdowns across four seasons.

USC senior TE Randall Telfer will not participate in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl because of an injury(foot), according to Orange County Register's Michael Lev.

The 6-foot-4, 238-pound Telfer hurt his foot in USC's 45-42 win over Nebraska. Telfer finished the year with 21 catches for 197 yards and two touchdowns. The USC prospect was called upon to help out in pass protection with USC's young offensive line, rather than being used in pass routes. As a Trojan, Telfer caught 65 passes for 648 yards and 12 touchdowns in four seasons.

USC senior TE Randall Telfer received an NFL Combine invitation.

It could be argued that Telfer is one of the most under-utilized tight ends in college football. In fact, Telfer produced his biggest numbers as a freshman. All in all, Telfer caught 65 passes for 648 yards and 12 touchdowns in four seasons.

USC junior TE Randall Telfer (hip) left practice early on Wednesday.

Before he exited, Telfer remained limited. On Tuesday, he only went through walk-throughs. The tight end suffered a hip pointer against Arizona State. At this point, it seems unlikely that Telfer will be able to play against No. 10 Arizona on Saturday, but the Trojans likely won't make an announcement about his status until later this week.

USC junior TE Randall Telfer will return for his final season.

"One more year! I'll see you guys next fall! Merry Christmas Trojan Family!" Telfer tweeted. Redshirt junior Xavier Grimble will have to make his own decision, and both somewhat battled for playing time over the last few seasons. Steve Sarkisian has experience utilizing tight ends, since he was fortunate to have Austin Seferian-Jenkins on his team for the last three seasons.

USC junior TE Randall Telfer will likely miss four weeks after undergoing knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus.

Teifer only finished with 100 yards receiving and four touchdowns in 2012, a dip form his 2011 production, but he has plenty of talent and has been talked up by head coach Lane Kiffin. His running mate Xavier Grimble has also missed time this spring.

USC head coach Lane Kiffin said on Thursday that he believes both of the Trojans sophomore TEs, Randall Telfer and Xavier Grimble, will be future first-round picks.

The exact quote is as follows: "I think they'll eventually be first-day, first-round picks, or right there," USC Coach Lane Kiffin said Thursday. "Obviously, they have to continue to develop, but they have the potential to do that." Despite both being talented, this is wishful thinking. Telfer has one reception on the season for 11 yards, while Grimble has three for 60 yards. With receivers like junior Robert Woods and sophomore Marqise Lee, there are not enough footballs to feed all of the offensive talent.
