Arizona State co-defensive coordinator Paul Randolph considers freshman DT Mike Pennel a "once-in-20-years football player."

Pennel was a key part of new head coach Todd Graham's first recruiting class and is expecting to make an immediate impact. Standing at 6'5/340 pounds, Pennel certainly has the size of a nose tackle that can plug gaps on the interior. He will challenge senior Corey Adams for playing time.
