The NCAA granted Georgia redshirt senior OL Kolton Houston a sixth-year of eligibility.
"I’m extremely blessed to wear this jersey for one more year," Houston tweeted. "So thankful for everybody that has helped me along the way." Because of this news, Georgia head coach Mark Richt will welcome back four of five starters along the offensive line in 2015. Houston started all 12 games at right tackle this year, though he's extremely versatile and could be moved if needed. Houston was suspended for his first three years in Athens because he tested positive for a banned substance in high school. The NCAA is giving him back one of those years. Georgia redshirt sophomore OL Kolton Houston has been reinstated by the NCAA.

Georgia announced "Houston met the exit threshold following his most recent NCAA drug screening". Today is actually Houston's birthday, but the positive news will also help Georgia's offensive line depth. He missed the entire 2012 season after testing positive for a banned substance. The sophomore lined up as the Bulldogs' starting right tackle the previous spring.

Georgia sophomore RT Kolton Houston will remain ineligible this season due to testing positive for a banned substance.

Houston lined up as the Bulldogs' starter at right tackle during spring practice but missed last season, likely because of the same infraction. Georgia may look to two freshmen, John Theus and Greg Pyke, to fill the void on the right side. The school's offensive line will look very different compared to 2011.

Georgia head coach Mark Richt is still unsure of sophomore RT Kolton Houston's edibility heading into the season.

Houston lined up as the Bulldogs' starter at right tackle during spring practice but missed last season due to an unspecified NCAA issue. Apparently the issue still has not been resolved, and when asked about it Richt stated "I still don’t know the answer on whether he’ll be eligible." Requests to interview Houston by the local media have been denied since last fall.
