Texas junior K Anthony Fera, a Penn State transfer, is reportedly out indefinitely after injuring his leg.

Fera only transferred last week and was expected to handle the place-kicking duties for the Longhorns after the school brought in former Duke punter Alex King this summer. However, Fera also handled the punting duties with the Nittany Lions, so this loss could potentially impact multiple roles. The severity of the injury has not been reported.

Junior K Anthony Fera will transfer from Penn State to Texas, according to Geoff Ketchum.

ESPN's Joe Schad confirmed the report this morning. Fera handled both the punting and place-kicking duties in 2011 and averaged 42 yards per punt along with making 14 of 17 field goals. Expect Fera, a Texas native, to handle just the place-kicking duties after the Longhorns brought in former Duke punter Alex King this summer.
