Georgia junior LB Chase Vasser will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum.
The junior has been sidelined for the last three games with the injury. Vasser was suspended earlier in the season due to a DUI, but exited spring practice as a projected starter. if fellow junior Alec Ogletree decides to depart to the NFL, Vasser will certainly see an elevated amount of playing time. Georgia junior LB Chase Vasser's shoulder injury is "not coming around," according to head coach Mark Richt.

Vasser has been sidelined for the last three games, and has only touched the field in five contest this year after a two game suspension to start the season. At this point, we may not see Vasser on the field until 2013.

After completing a two game suspension for an offseason DUI arrest, Georgia junior LB Chase Vasser will return for the team's game against Florida Atlantic.

The Bulldogs are hurting for linebacker depth, with the uncertainty of junior Alec Ogletree and injuries to outside linebacker Jarvis Jones. The junior made three starts last season and could see immediate playing time in the Bulldogs' starting lineup.

Georgia junior LB Chase Vasser has been suspended for the Bulldogs' first two games following his DUI arrest in May.

"Chase Vasser will serve a two game suspension as per our Athletic Association policy," Georgia head coach Mark Richt explained. The outside linebacker was listed as a starter opposite fellow junior Jarvis Jones on the school's preseason depth chart. The Bulldogs open their season with Buffalo, followed by SEC newcomer Missouri.
