Moore would have been held out last weekend if Florida was not on a bye. The Nebraska transfer has played a swing tackle role this season and looks to have a future in the starting line up, if he can stay on the field.

Florida junior T Tyler Moore would not be able to play this week if the Gators were scheduled to play on Saturday.

Moore, however, should be healthy enough to play against Tennessee on September 21. The Nebraska transfer is playing a swing tackle/right tackle role for the Gators in his first season of action, and has earned praise from head coach Will Muschamp. He continues to deal with an ankle injury.

Muschamp said Moore's versatility is a huge benefit and that the offensive lineman will be a "big part of the plans" The Gators lost inconsistent tackle Xavier Nixon to last April's draft, and their top offensive lineman, Jon Halapio, has been slowed by an injury. Moore could make an impact during his first year with Florida.

Former Nebraska T Tyler Moore has officially transferred to Florida for the 2013 season.

Moore spent this season with a junior college near his home in Florida. Those close to the Nebraska program believed there was a chance he returned to the school, and even acknowledged an open door policy for the sophomore. He will be eligible to play for the Gators in 2013.

Former Nebraska sophomore T Tyler Moore has decided to transfer to Florida.

Moore had planned to spend a semester away from Nebraska and attend a local junior college near his home in Florida. In fact, Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini said Moore had an open door to return to the program, but after meeting with Gators head coach Will Muschamp the sophomore decided to transfer. Apparently the final choice came down to deciding between Florida and Florida State since Moore wanted to continue playing closer to home.

Sophomore OT Tyler Moore has left the Nebraska football team but currently remains on scholarship.

"We'll see where that goes. I'm not exactly sure if that's going to be permanent or not permanent. He's working through some things personally," said head coach Bo Pelini. Moore made history last year when he became the first true freshman offensive lineman to start a season opener for Nebraska, along with the next four games before veteran Marcel Jones reclaimed his spot. The sophomore has been away from the team since Thursday, so we should hear more about his future in the coming days.
