Auburn G Alex Kozan was not invited to the NFL Scouting Combine.
Kozan was a first-team All-SEC honoree and a team captain this past season. Despite missing the 2014 season with a back injury, he logged 40 career starts. Kozan auditioned for scouts at the East-West Shrine Game last month. He could be an "attractive third-day draft option for a team looking to add some toughness to its interior offensive line," believes NFL Media. Feb 17 - 1:50 PM

Starting Auburn redshirt sophomore G Alex Kozan will miss the season due to a back injury.

It is not the best measure of skill, but Kozan was voted as an All-SEC guard last season after starting all 14 games. Kozan reportedly injured his back while working out at home during the summer and could not get back to 100 percent after rehabbing it once returning to Auburn. "The doctors just felt like it was the best thing for him and his future to have surgery. He will miss the season," head coach Gus Malzahn said. Chad Slade will move to left guard while Avery Young will start at right guard.

Auburn true freshman OL Alex Kozan continues to push for a starting job on the Tigers' line.

Only two starters are locked into place right now, with Reese Dismukes entrenched at center after a solid freshman campaign, and redshirt freshman Greg Robinson at left tackle. Chad Slade could play inside or on the edge and John Sullen will likely start at guard, but Kozan has taken his snaps with the first team while Sullen has been sidelined with an injury.
