Michigan head coach Brady Hoke has suspended starting senior CB J.T. Floyd for the Outback Bowl.
Floyd was in violation of unspecified team rules. Michigan will now start sophomore Raymon Taylor and junior Courtney Avery. Michigan senior CB J.T. Floyd attributed his 2011 progression to his relationship with defensive backs coach Curt Mallory.

"He wants your eyes to be right. That's something you can always constantly improve on. His famous saying is your eyes never lie," Floyd said of Mallory. This attention to detail has helped Floyd go from a reserve to starting 12 games last season. The senior has 13 career passes defended including three interceptions.
