USC junior DL George Uko announced he will enter the 2014 NFL Draft.
Uko has experience all along the defensive line, seeing time at nose tackle, three technique and defensive end in the five alignment. We doubt he sneaks into the top-64, but Uko could intrigue teams that use a variety of fronts. Tue, Dec 31, 2013 01:51:00 PM

Draft insider Tony Pauline cites sources that tell him USC junior DL George Uko will likely enter the NFL Draft.

The Trojans won their bowl game against Fresno State, but expect many of the school's juniors to jump to the next level. USC beat writer Gary Klein suggest that the Trojans' defensive line is the team's "biggest question mark."

USC's leaders at the position are senior defensive end Wes Horton and sophomore George Uko, especially after projected starting end Devon Kennard went down with an injury on the eve of preseason camp. Last season the defense generated 31 sacks, 9.5 of which by departed end Nick Perry, so others certainly need to pick up the slack. Asked this week if the line was playing as well as last year's, Coach Lane Kiffin said, "They've got a long ways to go."
