Oklahoma junior college RB transfer Damien Williams led the team to victory over UTEP on Saturday, running for 104 yards on nine caries, including a 65 yard run to seal the game.

Williams is listed behind senior Dominique Whaley and junior Brennan Clay on the depth chart, but leap frogged junior Roy Finch and basically sent the small back to receiver. Head coach Bob Stoops values backs that can pass protect, so Williams big frame suits the style. The Sooners have been known to line three running backs up in the backfield at the same time, so Williams could see a handful of carries per game. The team will likely feed the hot hand.
