Colts selected Oregon S John Boyett with the No. 192 overall pick.
Boyett (5-foot-10, 204) recorded 10 interceptions and seven tackles for loss as a three-year starter for Chip Kelly's Ducks before missing all but one game in 2012 following surgery to repair partial tears in both of his patellar tendons. Boyett was highly regarded pre-injury as a rugged tackler with some cover skills. He held a personal Pro Day on April 10. If Boyett's health cooperates, he could be a low-risk steal. Oregon S John Boyett will hold his personal pro day on April 10.

The work out will take place at Boyett's local high school. The safety had a rough career injury wise, ending in September after undergoing surgery to repair partial tears in both patellar tendons. We like his skills, but a draft selection might be out of reach.

Oregon S John Boyett will only bench press at the NFL Combine after undergoing surgery to repair tears in both patellar tendons in September.

The injury occurred after one game and it certainly qualifies as injury history. When on the field, Boyett shows solid range int he back half, taking solid angles to arrive at the catch point in time for the deflection. There's a chance he is selected in the later rounds.

Oregon senior S John Boyett will miss the remainder of the 2012 season after undergoing surgery to repair partial tears in both patellar tendons.

"I’ve had a lingering injury that I played through all last year," Boyett said. It has been speculated that rather than petition for a medical redshirt and return next season, Boyett is undergoing surgery now in order to full recover prior to the 2013 Draft. He is one of the most reliable safeties in the class, but obviously Boyett's medicals will be the key to his draft status.

Oregon senior safety John Boyett is facing season-ending surgery after suffering an injury prior to Saturday's win over Fresno State.

Specifics of the injury have not been disclosed. Boyett is one of the top senior safety prospects and a veteran member of the Ducks secondary. In the last two seasons, Boyett has recorded 15 pass breakups, along with six interceptions and two blocked kicks. Junior Avery Patterson appears to be the next man in line.
