Iowa State senior LB Jake Knott will miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury that will require surgery.
Knott is one of the key figures in the Cyclones defense along with fellow senior linebacker AJ Klein. Only positive things have been said about Knott during his career, and he currently has six tackles for loss on the season. Jake Knott - LB - Cyclones

Former NFL personnel member Russ Lande noted that Scouts have told him they consider Iowa State senior LB Jake Knott a better football player than fellow Cyclone LB A.J. Klein.

Lande calls Knott a "smart and instinctive linebacker" who "has the playing speed to easily chase plays down in pursuit." He does note that the senior has a history of medical and injury flags, but if the Knott passes the checks at the Combine, Lande believes the Cyclone could be a high third-round pick.
