Georgia's leading WR, sophomore Michael Bennett, will miss the remainder of the 2012 season with a torn ACL in his right knee.
The injury occurred towards the end of Tuesday's practice. Bennett had already registered 24 catches for 345 yards and four touchdowns. His ability to beat man coverage was one of the offensive keys that allowed Georgia to top Tennessee last weekend. Senior Tavarres King is a reliable downfield threat while senior Marlon Brown will have to step up in order to compensate for the loss of Bennett. Wed, Oct 3, 2012 11:21:00 AM

Georgia sophomore WR Michael Bennett noted that the Bulldogs recent prowess in the running game has forced defenses to play more man coverage.

The Georgia ground game is forcing linebackers and safeties to play in the box, allowing the receivers to work on islands on the outside. "We’re good enough as receivers to get open when it’s one-on-one coverage, and we make it happen," Bennett said. Neither aspect of the offense appears to be slowing down, and along with their super talented defense, Georgia is on a roll.
