Georgia senior C David Andrews accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Game.
The 6-foot-2, 295-pound Andrews, a three-season starter, runs a 5.15 forty. He's a quick center who can get to the second level and pick off linebackers, though his balance and recovery agility have been questioned. Andrews is a Day 3 possibility. Thu, Dec 4, 2014 10:10:00 PM

Georgia senior C David Andrews "has established himself as one of the better pivots in the country," writes CBS Sports' Rob Rang.

The 6-foot-2, 295-pound Andrews, who has started each of the past two seasons, runs a 5.15 forty. "He has good initial quickness for the reach block, as well as the leg drive to push defenders off their mark," Rang wrote. "He lacks ideal balance and the agility to recover if beaten initially but could earn interest on Day Three."

ESPN's Ryan McGee listed Georgia sophomore C David Andrews as the nation's top "unsung impact player."

Andrews replaced the departed longtime starter Ben Jones but he has kept the Georgia offensive line, which features plenty of first year starters, playing as one unit. They have led the way for two freshman running backs and have only allowed junior quarterback Aaron Murray to be sacked 1.4 times per game, on average. "I wouldn't say he's a beast, but he's quick," UGA head coach Mark Richt said of Andrews. "If you're quick and you get your hands and feet where they're supposed to be and you run 'em with enthusiasm and you know what you're doing, you can play center."
