Alabama senior CB Deion Belue is questionable for Saturday's game against Tennessee with a toe injury.
If Belue is out, also injured Bradley Sylve could see an increased role. True freshman Eddie Jackson has stepped up at the right cornerback spot. They'll have to figure out some way to slow down Vol freshman receiver Marquez North, who had a coming out party against South Carolina last week. Sat, Oct 26, 2013 10:35:00 AM

Alabama senior CB Deion Belue will play versus Ole Miss on Saturday despite a turf toe injury.

Saban called the defensive back's return huge "for a few reasons," namely his experience and leadership. Turf toe injuries take some time to heal, so we wonder if Belue will draw the assignment of lining up opposite talented junior receiver Donte Moncrief.

Alabama coach Nick Saban hopes senior CB Deion Belue (turf toe) will be able to play on Saturday against Ole Miss.

Belue suffered the injury in the second quarter against Texas A&M and sat out Saturday's game against Colorado State. Belue is a veteran presence in Alabama's secondary. His availability will be important against a Rebels team coming off a beat down of the Longhorns in Austin and a two-week layoff.

Alabama senior CB Deion Belue has turf toe.

Alabama JUCO transfer Deion Belue returned to practice on Monday after missing the second half of the team's last game against Ole Miss with a shoulder injury.

Belue subsequently missed practice last week during the Crimson Tide's bye week. He started all five of Alabama's games this season and if Belue not able to play, junior John Fulton and freshman Geno Smith will see an increased amount of reps.
