Syracuse sophomore RB Adonis Ameen-Moore ran over the Owls defense for 57 yards and two touchdowns on ten carries Friday.

Ameen-Moore has been utilized as a power option in short yardage situations, but the Orange used him in their base offense today and allowed him to pick up extra yardage after first contact.

Syracuse sophomore RB Adonis Ameen-Moore has found a home as the goal line back in the Orange backfield.

Ameen-Moore underwent offseason shoulder surgery and trimmed down to 225 pounds from a think 260. He is now part of a new goal line package that includes an extra offensive lineman and junior linebacker Lewellyn Coker as a lead blocker. Syracuse also used the formation to run out the clock, and despite the five carries for 14 yards including a touchdown being his only carries of the season, expect the package to reappear when the situation calls for it.
