Titans selected LSU DL LaVar Edwards with the No. 142 overall pick.
Edwards (6-foot-4, 277) was the Tigers' nickel pass rusher behind Sam Montgomery and Keke Mingo, only making 15 career starts. He finished his career with 20 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks. Edwards ran 4.8 at the Combine with a 1.64 ten-yard split and 33-inch vertical. At LSU, Edwards lined up inside and out, and could help as a nickel rusher for the Titans. LSU DE LaVar Edwards ran an official 4.80 forty at the NFL Combine, with a 10 yard split of 1.64.

Edwards was LSU's third defensive end, and also moved inside in certain situations. He out produced many other pass rushers in limited snaps, and we think he can be an early fourth-round pick.

LSU DE LaVar Edwards will attend the Senior Bowl.

As the team's third defensive end, Edwards played very well in his role of power rusher that occasionally moved inside to rush from the tackle spot. We think he could be a second day selection despite seeing a smaller amount of snaps than other comparable prospects.

LSU senior LaVar Edwards has seven tackles for loss, including 4.5 sacks, this season in a third DE role.

Edwards has actually technically started a few games, but has given way to Sam Montgomery quickly after that. Edwards is a different kind of rusher than Montgomery and Barkevious Mingo, using more strength and offering the ability to move inside in nickel situations. After having limited snaps in prior seasons, Edwards has shown enough to warrant a third day selection and may build off of that with a solid pre-draft process.
