Dolphins selected Utah State CB Will Davis with the No. 93 overall pick.
Davis ranked second nationally in pass breakups (17) as a senior, picking off five and recording 4.5 tackles for loss. He ran 4.53 at the Combine with an explosive 10-foot-7 broad jump, also repping 226 pounds 16 times. Davis is small with short arms (31 1/2"), so he may be best suited to nickel back once he fully develops. The Fins are dangerously needy at cornerback, so they're doubling down with Davis after drafting Jamar Taylor. Fri, Apr 26, 2013 10:17:00 PM

Utah State CB Will Davis visited the Falcons.

The Falcons seem to be feverishly working out corners as the draft approaches. There will be a nice group available at pick No. 30, and the Falcons will nearly have their choice of the second tier prospects at the position. Jamar Taylor will likely be selected prior to their selection.

Utah State CB Will Davis met with eight teams at the combine last month.

Not all were revealed but some of those that were include the Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys. Davis has reportedly been told he could be a second- to third-round selection. He offers a solid skill-set to teams but will need to improve his footwork and overall discipline at the next level.

Utah State CB Will Davis ran an unofficial 4.53 forty at the NFL Combine.

Davis' 10 yard split was 1.56 seconds. We really like Davis in the third- or fourth-round area, but he struggled during the Senior Bowl due to unbalanced footwork. Still, if he gains patience, Davis could wind up as a team's third corner.

The NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah believes Utah State CB Will Davis' deep speed is a "major question."

Jeremiah added that Davis' confidence seemed to have been shaken after he was beaten vertically multiple times. The Aggie's tape from this season was quite good, so his poor performance during the Senior Bowl is a bit confusing.

Utah State senior CB Will Davis will attend the NFL Combine.

Davis is one of our favorite corners that will likely be drafted higher than his current perceived range. He's at his best in man coverage, using improved balance and physical play. Davis will be attending the Senior Bowl, so perhaps his "stock" will rise during that week of practice.

One AFC college scouting director told the NFL Network's Albert Breer that Utah State senior CB Will Davis "needs to get more instinctive."

The same personnel member added that Davis has "got good size, speed, competitiveness, and he's a pretty good press corner... he's a good athlete." Another NFC executive agreed, adding "he needs to play with more discipline." Breer suggests Davis as a late-round flier, but we believe he will be selected much higher, maybe during the Draft's second day.

SI's Tony Pauline passes along word that Utah State senior CB Will Davis is receiving first-round grades from "several" scouts.

Davis was apparently graded as an undrafted free agent prior to this season, but the JUCO product has shown well in his first year as a full-time starter. Last Saturday, Davis' clutch interception stopped a first half drive and his matchup against Louisiana Tech senior receiver Quinton Patton is certainly one evaluators will watch during the pre-draft process.

Utah State CB Will Davis will attend January's Senior Bowl.

Davis is in his first year as a full-time starter, and although he isn't garnering much attention, we believe he could be a top-100 selection. The former JUCO product has intercepted a pass in each of the last three games and also has 14 pass breakups on the season.
