Jaguars selected UConn CB Dwayne Gratz with the No. 64 overall pick.
Gratz surprisingly comes off the board before his more heralded secondary mate Blidi Wreh-Wilson. He should see heavy snaps as a rookie as the Jags remake their secondary. Gratz (5-11, 201) started 41 games for the Huskies, tallying eight picks. Overshadowed by Wreh-Wilson, Gratz made a name for himself with a standout Combine, running 4.47 with a 38-inch vertical, 10-foot-5 broad jump and 22 reps on the bench. He plays with enough physicality to excel as a press corner. Fri, Apr 26, 2013 08:45:00 PM

The Falcons hosted UConn CB Dwayne Gratz for a visit.

Gratz has been deemed the "other" corner from UConn, but certainly held his own at the Senior Bowl. He's a bit more physical during routes and when riding receivers downfield and could be a second-round selection. We doubt he lasts past the third.

UConn CB Dwayne Gratz visited the New York Jets, per Tony Pauline.

Gratz is an intriguing prospect because it's been said that he has been considered at cornerback or safety. At Connecticut, he was primarily a man coverage cornerback that had some issues with technique and fundamentals of the position. His physicality and size, at 5-foot-11 and 201 pounds, means he could make the move to the safety position.

During the Senior Bowl broadcast, the NFL Network's Mike Mayock said some teams view UConn CB Dwayne Gratz as a S.

Gratz did his best work as a psychical corner in man coverage, but at times seemed to overextend and get beat downfield or with quick movements. Every year a handful of corners are viewed as possible safety conversions, and Gratz appears to be on the list this draft season.

UConn CB Dwayne Gratz will attend the Senior Bowl.

Gratz will be referred to as the "other" corner opposite standout Blidi Wreh-Wilson, but the senior has done enough to earn this invitation. He could really elevate his evaluation with a solid week in Mobile.
