Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly announced junior CB Bennett Jackson will miss spring activities after undergoing shoulder surgery.
The soon to be senior was one of the Irish's best secondary players in 2012 and should keep his starting spot despite his absence. Along with a solid tackle number, Jackson added four interceptions and a forced fumble. Jan 30 - 8:40 AM

Notre Dame junior CB Bennett Jackson apparently received a second- or third-round projection from the NFL Draft Advisory Board.

Eric Hansen of the South Bend Tribune stated that Jackson, "had a tough decision to make this past month about whether to cash in a dream season for a second- or third-round call in April's NFL Draft." At one point, Jackson was an unknown commodity, even as recently as this past offseason, but the NFL must have been impressed with what they saw.
