Packers selected Colorado OT David Bakhtiari with the No. 109 overall pick.
Bakhtiari (6-foot-4 1/4, 299) made 33 starts for the Buffs, succeeding Nate Solder at left tackle. Bakhtiari is athletic with long arms (34"), but his best NFL position will be guard after he struggled on an island in the Big 12. One medical concern is a recurring knee injury that cost Bakhtiari two games in 2011 and another in 2012. He declared for the draft as a redshirt junior. He shouldn't see many snaps as a rookie. Colorado OL David Bakhtiari was worked out by a Cincinnati Bengals assistant OL coach during the school's pro day.

Bakhtiari stood on his numbers from the Combine. We expect the early declaree to make the switch inside to guard, since he possesses a natural aggression but tends to lose when overextending.

Colorado OL David Bakhtiari said he is being projected as a LT and C by some teams, even though he has never snapped before.

Bakhtiari measured in at 6'4 1/4 inches and 299 pounds with 34 inch arms. That length will help him in the NFL, but we felt he lost too often on an island against counter moves. A move to guard might be his best option, since he already possesses an aggressive attitude.

SI's Tony Pauline is "being told" Colorado junior T David Bakhtiari will likely enter April's Draft.

We don't know much about Bakhtiari other than he has started at left tackle the past two seasons and took over for Nate Solder at that spot. He does not have the height Solder did, therefore a guard projection may be in his future, but Bakhtiari gets after it and loves to latch and engage his opposition.
