Raiders selected UConn LB Sio Moore with the No. 66 overall pick.
Moore (6-4, 245) racked up a team-high 15.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, and 11 pass breakups at outside linebacker for the Huskies last season. An explosive athlete, he ran 4.65 at the Combine with a 38-inch vertical and 10-foot-7 broad jump. Moore is a dangerous pass rusher with plus versatility, capable of playing essentially any linebacker position. The Raiders' linebacker corps is a mess, but Moore should compete for playing time at one of the spots. Fri, Apr 26, 2013 08:53:00 PM

Draft Insider Tony Pauline reports the New York Jets are "very high" on UConn LB Sio Moore.

Pauline added that Moore could possibly go in the top 50 selections and a big reason teams, including the Jets, are high on him is because of his versatility. In regards to the Jets in particular, Moore could play either outside linebacker spot, which is significant in Rex Ryan's defensive scheme.

UConn OLB Sio Moore is visiting the Steelers on Thursday.

We like this connection. Moore was part of a talented UConn defense and played a variety of roles, ranging from a traditional linebacker behind a four man front to a pass rusher on some downs. He would play the latter in Pittsburgh and could be a target in the second-round.

UConn OLB Sio Moore worked out for a Jaguars "brain trust" on Saturday.

Moore would likely play some of the Leo role if selected by the Jags. If the team chooses to take Geno Smith at No. 2, Moore offers some of the same things Dion Jordan does in a very different frame. Moore is fast off the edge when pass rushing and can hold the edge against the run. He isn't nearly as comfortable in coverage.

USA Today's Mike Garafolo reports UConn LB Sio Moore visited the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens.

Garafolo added that Moore also has visits scheduled with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Moore has been mentioned as a potential second round selection in this year's draft. He's strong and versatile, potentially playing weak-side or strong-side linebacker in the pros.
