Bears selected Louisiana Tech T/G Jordan Mills with the No. 163 overall pick.
Mills (6-foot-5, 316) has prototypical tackle build with 34-inch arms, and drew raves for his Senior Bowl performance. A right tackle at Louisiana Tech, Mills may have to kick to guard in the pros due to limited athleticism. He also managed only 20 bench-press reps. Mills does have a high enough long-term ceiling to develop into a starting guard or perhaps right tackle. The Bears will view him as a versatile reserve in year one. Apr 27 - 3:26 PM

Despite some reports of a second day selection following a strong Seniow Bowl week, former NFL scout Russ Lande is hearing that Louisiana Tech T Jordan Mills now appears to be a fifth rounder.

"Scouts and coaches went back and pulled out the Louisiana Tech game film to evaluate this player who shocked everyone in Mobile, they were very disappointed," Lande writes. "Some NFL personnel that we spoke to said that regardless of the athleticism he showed in Mobile, he did not show the foot quickness and flexibility to handle playing tackle in the NFL and would have to slide inside to play guard."

National Football Post's Russ Lande writes Louisiana Tech T Jordan Mills is sliding down draft boards.

Some NFL personnel that we spoke to said that regardless of the athleticism he showed in Mobile, he did not show the foot quickness and flexibility to handle playing tackle in the NFL and would have to slide inside to play guard," Lande writes. "Despite the post Senior Bowl hype that Mills was rising up boards and could be drafted as high as the second round, we are hearing more like the fifth round now." Lande said last month Mills was likely a third or fourth-round pick.

The National Football Post's Russ Lande is confident that Louisiana Tech T Jordan Mills "will not make the move into the second or late first round as some predicted."

"Mills will likely be a third or fourth round pick by a team looking for a rookie who can start at right tackle," Lande writes. Many were impressed by Mills during Senior Bowl week, but Lande does not think the aggressive right tackle shows "the quickness to slide out in time to protect the corner consistently."

Ravens beat writer Aaron Wilson is "hearing some good buzz" on Louisiana Tech T Jordan Mills.

Mills continues to generate top-100 talk after a solid Senior Bowl performance, shutting down many higher profile prospects form his right tackle spot. We suspect teams believe he can play three spots on the offensive line and consistently displays a hard-nosed, finishing attitude.

CBS Sports' Dane Brugler is hearing from NFL sources that Louisiana Tech T Jordan Mills might be a top-100 pick.

Mills was a late addition to the Senior Bowl and held his own from the start of the first practice. As a right tackle in college, Mills helped pave the way for a fairly balanced offense. NFL evaluators likely expect him to have the versatility to play three positions along the offensive line.
