Eagles signed Arizona WR Cayleb Jones.
Jones (6'3/209) spent two seasons at U of A after transferring from Texas, wrapping his college career with a 130-1,958-14 (15.06 YPR) receiving line. Jones' stock took a hit at the Combine, where he ran 4.65 with a 33 1/2-inch vertical and 9-foot-4 broad jump, also managing only nine reps on the bench. Jones' lack of separation skills shows up on tape, and he has a checkered off-field history, getting arrested for felony aggravated assault as a Texas freshman. Despite being a productive college player, Jones faces major obstacles to last as an NFL wideout. May 2 - 4:37 PM

CBS Sports draft analyst Derek Harper noted that Arizona redshirt junior WR Cayleb Jones "will need to perform well in pre-draft workouts and interviews to rise up draft boards."

Jones finished the 2015 campaign having caught 55 passes for 904 yards and five touchdowns, including a marvelous 4-182-1 performance against New Mexico in the Wildcats' 45-37 bowl win last week. While he has prototypical size at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, CBS Sports analyst Rob Rang's noted that he "lacks elite straight-line speed and does not always take full advantage of his height." He'll need to perform well through the pre-draft process if he wants to crack the later rounds.

Jones transferred from Texas after his freshman season.

Per NFL.com draft analyst Chase Goodbread, Arizona redshirt junior WR Cayleb Jones has "the size NFL clubs look for at the position."

Jones checks in at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds. If Saturday's performance in the New Mexico Bowl was his last game at the collegiate level, he certainly gave scouts a nice final impression with his 4-182-1 receiving line in Arizona's 45-37 victory over New Mexico. He hasn't declared for the draft yet, but an evaluation from the NFL Draft Advisory Board will be forthcoming.

Arizona redshirt junior WR Cayleb Jones recorded four catches for 182 yards and a touchdown in a 45-37 win over New Mexico in Saturday's New Mexico Bowl.

If this was Jones' last game with the Wildcats, he sure made it memorable. His biggest play was a 78-yard catch-and-sprint touchdown in the first quarter wherein he wrangled in the ball near the sideline, shook off a defender and rode home unabated. Jones requested an evaluation from the NFL Draft Advisory Board. His next move will likely be dictated based on what he hears back.

Arizona redshirt junior WR Cayleb Jones will request an evaluation from the NFL Draft Advisory Board.

Jones began his career at Texas but transferred to Arizona following the 2012 season and immediately contributed in 2014 after redshirting. Jones' production has not matched his 2014 campaign, however, because the receiver is a fourth year junior, we would not be surprised to see him declare even if the projection is a third-round or later grade.

Arizona redshirt junior WR Cayleb Jones collected eight catches for 131 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 45-42 loss to Washington State.

Jones had a rather sluggish start to the season -- with Arizona's quarterback situation, it's hard to blame him -- but has now collected 14 balls for over 200 yards in the past two weeks. He's not going to match last year's production ( 73 catches for 1,019 yards and nine touchdowns; All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention). Even so, Jones has one season of eligibility left with which to impress NFL evaluators.

Arizona redshirt junior WR Cayleb Jones is a "one gear athlete with limited quickness," according to TFY Draft Insider Tony Pauline.

"A lot of people like Cayleb Jones and while he’s a big bodied receiver who wins out in battles Jones is also a one gear athlete with limited quickness," Pauline writes. The Arizona prospect had a solid season for the Wildcats last season, hauling in 73 catches for 1,019 yards and nine touchdowns, earning All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention.

Arizona redshirt junior WR Cayleb Jones "looks the part of an NFL receiver, boasting a package of height, long arms and surprising fluidity," CBS Sports' Rob Rang notes.

"Jones looks the part of an NFL receiver, boasting a package of height, long arms and surprising fluidity (given his size) that makes him tough for defensive backs to handle. Though possessing only fair straight-line speed, Jones shows good initial quickness off the line of scrimmage to get his opponent turning. He collects the ball cleanly and shows vision, balance and strength to fight through arm tackles to gain additional yardage after the catch," Rang wrote. Jones comes from good NFL bloodlines, as his father Robert, had a 10-year career playing linebacker. Jones is also the nephew of former pro quarterback Jeff Blake. Last season, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Jones was one of the best wideouts in the Pac-12, recording 73 catches for 1,019 yards and nine touchdowns.

Arizona redshirt junior WR Cayleb Jones "emerged as the top target in a talented receiving corps for young QB Anu Solomon in Arizona's breakthrough 2014 season," noted Sports on Earth's Matt Brown.

Browns pegs Jones as the No. 16 wideout in the country. "The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Jones finished with 73 catches for 1,019 yards and nine touchdowns, although he did struggle against some of the best opponents on the Wildcats' schedule," Brown wrote. "While he lacks explosive speed, his size and physicality can make him a matchup nightmare." ESPN's Chantel Jennings recently argued that Jones is the Pac-12's best receiver.

ESPN's Chantel Jennings argues that Arizona redshirt junior WR Cayleb Jones is the Pac-12's best receiver.

First off, Jennings loves the pieces around Jones in Arizona's high-flying offense, including QB Anu Solomon, RB Nick Wilson and No. 2 WR Samajie Grant. Jennings mentions Nelson Spruce, River Cracraft, Victor Bolden and Jordan Payton as other candidates for the conference's top WR, but finds their resumes lacking by comparison. "All of those players are great receivers, but I just feel like this is Jones’ spot to lose, based on so many things going his way," Jennings wrote.

Arizona redshirt sophomore WR Cayleb Jones "seems undecided about his next move," writes TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline.

The analyst refers, of course, to Jones' decision on whether to declare for the NFL Draft. "It was thought for the longest time Jones, who led the Wildcats with 65 receptions for 902 yards, would enter the draft but he’s recently pulled back and remains uncommitted," Pauline wrote. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Jones isn't a burner nor a quick-twitch athlete, but he's extremely strong and wins at the catch point by shielding away defenders while leaping for the ball. NCAA DBs have found it difficult to neutralize Jones in one-on-one circumstances.

Arizona redshirt sophomore WR Cayleb Jones caught two balls for 71 yards and a touchdown in Friday's game versus Oregon.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Jones has 65 catches for 902 yards and nine touchdowns through 13 games. CBS Sports' Dane Brugler believes Jones "has only average speed and initial burst, but does an excellent job using his size and length to shield the play from defenders and out-muscle everyone around him." Earlier this year, ESPN's Kevin Weidl wrote that Jones is "big, strong and attacks the ball" and is "a tough matchup one-on-one."

Arizona redshirt sophomore WR Cayleb Jones caught seven balls for 78 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 59-37 win over Washington State.

Jones's three-yard scoring reception from Anu Solomon gave the Wildcats a 31-0 lead early in the second quarter. Wazzu put forth a far-fetched comeback attempt, but Jones silenced it with a 44-yard kickoff return touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. CBS Sports' Dane Brugler believes Jones "has only average speed and initial burst, but does an excellent job using his size and length to shield the play from defenders and out-muscle everyone around him."

Arizona redshirt sophomore WR Cayleb Jones caught seven balls for 67 yards Saturday's 28-26 loss to USC.

Jones, Anu Solomon's favorite target, leads Arizona with 39 catches for 592 yards and six touchdowns. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Jones didn't play last season after transferring over from Texas. Earlier this month, ESPN's Kevin Weidl wrote that Jones is "big, strong and attacks the ball" and is "a tough matchup one-on-one."
