Dee Hart - RB - Rams

Colorado State officially added former Alabama redshirt junior RB Dee Hart to the roster.

As a graduate transfer, Hart is eligible to play for CSU in 2014. "I’ve kind of known him since he was a freshman in high school and we’re really excited to give him an opportunity," Rams’ head coach Jim McElwain said. "I’m probably more excited than anything that he just finished his degree and he was the first member of his family to get his college degree, which I’m really proud of because that is something I promised him when I recruited him. Now we’ll give him an opportunity to go get a masters." Hart was rated as the No. 1 running back in the country back in 2011. His tenure with the Crimson Tide included two serious knee injuries, a brief switch to corner, and an off-field arrest for giving false information and possession of marijuana. Hart amassed 43 carries for 166 yards and a touchdown with Alabama.

Dee Hart - RB - Rams

After lining up at CB during spring activities, Alabama redshirt sophomore Dee Hart will likely stay at RB.

That assumption is from beat writer Andrew Gribble. The team is relatively young at both spots, but Hart's biggest concern should be his health. He missed the past two seasons due to major knee injuries.

Dee Hart - RB - Rams

Alabama redshirt freshman Dee Hart, a former RB with two serious knee injuries, is lining up at CB during spring workouts.

Hart suffered a torn ACL as a true freshman in 2011, forcing him to miss the entire season. Then, in 2012, Hart tore the same ligament against Ole Miss. He is currently practicing in a black non-contact jersey, but a position switch is a viable option. "We’re looking to see if any of those guys can help us, and if this would be a better circumstance for how much they would be able to contribute to our team," head coach Nick Saban said.
