Hill was set to sign with the Seahawks, but failed his physical. Although he stands in at 6-foot-3, 212 pounds, Hill is a slot prospect. May 12 - 8:33 PM

Seahawks signed Arizona WR Austin Hill.

Hill (6'2/214) looked like a future first-round pick when he recorded an 81-1,364-11 receiving line as a redshirt sophomore, but missed his entire junior year with a severe knee injury and managed a 49-635-4 number as a senior. He ran 4.57/4.62 at his Pro Day with a 36 1/2-inch vertical and 10-foot-1 broad jump. A big, physical slot receiver who will struggle to win outside in the NFL, Hill could become a poor man's Jordan Matthews if he regains pre-injury form. He did test relatively well before the draft, and impressed observers at the East-West Shrine.

Arizona WR Austin Hill "is a next-level prospect" when healthy, noted TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline.

At Tuesday's pro day, Hill clocked 40s of 4.54 and 4.59 seconds, a short shuttle of 4.17 seconds, a 3-cone drill of.72 seconds and a 60-yard shuttle of 11.51 seconds. "All the reviews of Hill's pass-catching workout were positive as teams were impressed with his quickness and body positioning exiting breaks," Pauline wrote. The Wildcat was one of this year's most notable combine snubs. "Why was Hill left out of the combine?" Pauline wrote. "I'm told he was graded poorly after the initial four games of the 2014 campaign, and though he played better later in the year, was never able to rebound enough to get an invitation. Regardless, at full health, Hill is a next-level prospect."

CBS Sports' Dane Brugler predicts Arizona WR Austin Hill will fight "to earn a draftable grade" at Tuesday's pro day workout.

You probably know Hill's story by now. He had a sensational sophomore season, missed his junior campaign with a torn ACL, and then disapointed greatly as a senior (Brugler said he looked like a "a shell of his sophomore form). "Hill was one of the more notable NFL Combine snubs so many around the league are eager to get him in front of a stopwatch," noted the analyst. "He is known as a hard working grinder and with a positive showing at Arizona's pro day, Hill might be able to go from afterthought to draftable."

Arizona WR Austin Hill wasn't invited to the combine.

This is just the most recent disheartening development in what was a horribly disappointing year for Hill. He suffered a torn ACL in the spring of 2013 and his career has been on the ropes since. Hill, graded by many as a solid Day 2 pick prior to the season, finished the year second on the team in receptions with 49. TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline reported that NFL scouts had concerns that Hill wasn't completely healed from his knee injury. "Word circulating in the scouting community is Austin Hill may not be fully healthy from the knee injury suffered more than a year ago," Pauline wrote during the season. "Never a speedster from the get-go, the inability to separate from defenders on the college level is causing a lot of concern from area scouts, many who now stamp Hill as a late rounder."

Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill hauled in four receptions for 41 yards at Saturday's East-West Shrine Game.

He led all wideouts in receiving yards. TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline wrote during the week that Hill could be a "late round steal" and mentioned that he was "applauded by coaches for his route running and pass catching" at practices. NFL Media analyst Charles Davis also praised Hill, drawing attention to the prospect's size (6-foot-3), hands and toughness.

NFL Media analyst Charles Davis likes Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill's size, hands and toughness.

"Another aspect of Hill's game that Davis likes is that he did not complain about offensive changes at Arizona," wrote College Football 24/7 writer Mike Huguenin. "Hill went from being the go-to receiver in 2012 to being a complementary guy this fall, and Davis said it wasn't an issue with Hill." Huguenin added that West WR coach Richard Bartel also spoke highly of Hill. "While Hill lacks top-end speed, Bartel noted that he has a good football IQ and is competitive," the analyst wrote. "Hill comes from a family of football players -- his dad and uncle played in the NFL -- and Bartel noted that a football pedigree can be helpful: 'There's a reason you pay more for a pure-bred bulldog." TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline believes Hill could be a "late round steal."

TFY Draft Insider Tony Pauline notes that Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill could be a "late round steal" and mentioned that he was "applauded by coaches for his route running and pass catching" at East-West Shrine practice.

Pauline reported back in December, that NFL scouts have concerns that Hill isn't completely healed from last season's knee injury. The Wildcats used Hill in more of a tight end role as the 2014 season progressed. The Arizona prospect finished the season second on the team in receptions with 49, and was third on the team in receiving yards with 635. Pauline noted last month that Hill's "inability to separate from defenders on the college level is causing a lot of concern from area scouts, many who now stamp Hill as a late rounder."

Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill caught three passes for 19 yards in Friday's loss to Oregon.

Across 13 games, Hill, graded by many as a solid Day 2 pick prior to the season, has been held to four receptions or less 11 times. TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline reported last month that NFL scouts have concerns that Hill isn't completely healed from last season's knee injury. "While he entered the season with second/third round grades the word circulating in the scouting community is Austin Hill may not be fully healthy from the knee injury suffered more than a year ago," Pauline wrote at the time. "Never a speedster from the get-go, the inability to separate from defenders on the college level is causing a lot of concern from area scouts, many who now stamp Hill as a late rounder."

Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill caught four passes for 45 yards in Friday's win over Arizona State.

Hill's struggles continue; he's been held to four receptions or less in 10 of Arizona's 12 contests. TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline reported last week that NFL scouts have concerns that Hill isn't completely healed from last season's knee injury, a scenario that seems extremely plausible in lieu of his lack of production. "While he entered the season with second/third round grades the word circulating in the scouting community is Austin Hill may not be fully healthy from the knee injury suffered more than a year ago," Pauline wrote. "Never a speedster from the get-go, the inability to separate from defenders on the college level is causing a lot of concern from area scouts, many who now stamp Hill as a late rounder."

"Never a speedster from the get-go, the inability to separate from defenders on the college level is causing a lot of concern from area scouts, many who now stamp Hill as a late rounder." The senior came into the season carrying some amount of hype, but has posted only 38 receptions for 541 yards and four touchdowns this year. Hill hauled in 81 catches for 1,364 yards and 11 touchdowns to earn All-Pac-12 Second Team honors in 2012, the year before his injury.

Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill will attend the East West Shrine game.

Hill will not come close to matching his production from last season (81/1,364/11 TDs) since he has posted 35 catches for 480 yards and four touchdowns in 10 games this year. Some heavily praised the 6'3/210 pound receiver prior to the season.

Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill caught two passes for 21 yards in Saturday's 27-26 win over Washington.

At this point, it's more surprising if Hill does something in a game than if he's quiet. The senior came into the season carrying some amount of hype, with people like TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline saying that with a big campaign, Hill could find himself being drafted in the Top-45. That's not going to happen now. Hill has just 76 yards receiving over his last three games combined.

Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill caught three passes for 38 yards in Saturday's win over Colorado.

Hill had only one catch for five yards in Arizona's previous game. There was no bounce against Colorado. With just 38 yards receiving in the contest, Hill now has six games in which he's been held to under 65 yards. The lackluster season has reportedly hurt Hill's draft stock. Prior to the season, many scouts had Hill pegged as a second or third-rounder. Back in October, though, TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline said that Hill's struggles have caused scouts to view him more as a mid-to-late round pick.

TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline reports that there's "a bit of concern about" Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill's play.

"There was a breathe of relief after Hill turned in a seven reception, 70 yard performance against USC on Saturday but truth be told there’s a bit of concern about his play," Pauline wrote. "Hill was stamped as a second/third rounder entering the season but most scouts now feel he presently grades as a mid-to late rounder. There’s a feeling in the scouting community that Hill may not be fully healthy from the knee injury which kept him on the sidelines in 2013." Hill, who suffered a torn ACL in the spring of 2013, has collected 25 catches for 345 yards through six games.
