TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline reports that there's "a bit of concern about" Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill's play.
"There was a breathe of relief after Hill turned in a seven reception, 70 yard performance against USC on Saturday but truth be told there’s a bit of concern about his play," Pauline wrote. "Hill was stamped as a second/third rounder entering the season but most scouts now feel he presently grades as a mid-to late rounder. There’s a feeling in the scouting community that Hill may not be fully healthy from the knee injury which kept him on the sidelines in 2013." Hill, who suffered a torn ACL in the spring of 2013, has collected 25 catches for 345 yards through six games. Oct 13 - 7:08 PM

Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill hauled in a 47-yard hard Hail Mary from Anu Solomon as time expired to push Arizona to a 49-45 victory over Cal on Saturday night.

Arizona got whipped for most of the game. The Wildcats trailed 28-6 at halftime, and they were down 45-30 with four minutes left. That's when the school improbably scored three consecutive touchdowns, capped by Solomon's desperation heave into the right corner of the end zone that reached Hill's hands untouched. Hill, who suffered a torn ACL in the spring of 2013, finished with eight catches for 127 yards and two touchdowns.

Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill was held to two catches for nine yards in the school's 26-23 win over UTSA.

We did not watch the game, but draft writer Justin Higdon notes UTSA locked Hill down and the receiver helped by dropping two passes. This lackluster effort comes on the heels of Hill's great season opener, when he produced 110 yards and a touchdown on three catches.
Sep 5 - 1:21 PM

Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill caught three passes for 110 yards and a touchdown in the school's 58-13 win over UNLV.

A majority of Hill's production came on a 92 yard touchdown catch an run, when the redshirt senior took a 12 yard post, broke one tackle, then separated from the defense. Hill suffered a torn ACL in the spring of 2013, but many evaluators are expecting a big season from the 6'3/210 lbs receiver.

ESPN's Todd McShay writes that there is a "lot to like" about Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill as a prospect despite his durability issues.

McShay grades him as the No. 5 WR prospect. "He has a natural feel for the position and is a smooth and strong athlete for his size, all of which enables him to separate from coverage (both press-man and zone)," McShay wrote. "His ball skills are excellent, with his wide catching radius, very good body control and his ability to pluck the ball away from the frame. He doesn't have the speed of a home run hitter, but he is quick enough and has good open-field vision to make defenders miss. He has the size and leaping ability to win one-on-one battles and he's still fast enough to threaten defenses vertically." TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline wrote earlier this summer that NFL scouts have stamped Hill as a Day 2 pick, and added that an "exceptional campaign" will push him into the top 45 picks of the 2015 draft. Hill hauled in 81 catches for 1,364 yards and 11 touchdowns to earn All-Pac-12 Second Team honors in 2012.

TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline believes an "exceptional campaign" will push Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill into the top 45 picks of the 2015 draft.

Hill missed all of last season with a torn ACL. "Scouts eagerly anticipate the return of receiver Austin Hill," Pauline wrote. "They’ve stamped him as a second day draft pick based off his 2012 film, which I think is reasonable despite the fourth round grade I gave him. The health of his knee plus the speed and route running skills he displays this season will be the determining factor." Hill hauled in 81 catches for 1,364 yards and 11 touchdowns to earn All-Pac-12 Second Team honors in 2012.

TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline stamped Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill with a preseason fourth-round grade.

Hill missed all of last season with a torn ACL. If he can return to his pre-2013 production, it's probable that he'll transcend this projection (81 catches for 1,364 yards and 11 touchdowns; All-Pac-12 Second Team honors in 2012). In fact, Pauline himself reported last month that Hill has been "stamped as a second day pick by scouts."

Scouts Inc.'s Kevin Weidl believes Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill "has a natural feel you can't coach."

"Watching 2012 tape of Arizona WR Austin Hill tonight. Quickly reminded of his talent. Has a natural feel you can't coach," Weidl tweeted. Weidl mentioned in another tweet, that Hill has "very good spatial awareness with routes" is able to adjust with ease, "competes" for the ball and has "strong hands". Hill recently returned to regular duty a couple of months ago, after suffering a torn ACL in the spring of 2013. Before Hill was injured, he led the Wildcat receivers on the team in 2012 with 1,364 yards and 11 touchdowns. If the Arizona prospect can fully rebound from injury, he has a chance to be a day two or day three pick in the draft.
Jul 3 - 8:24 AM

If Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill recovers fully from a torn ACL suffered last spring, he "could push for a spot among the top 100" in the 2015 draft, according to CBS Sports' Dane Brugler.

Hill caught 81 passes for 1,364 yards and 11 touchdowns in earning All-Pac-12 Second Team honors in 2012; he missed last season. "Hill possesses broad shoulders and a well-built frame, overall," Brugler wrote. "He shows above-average initial burst off the snap to quickly get into his route but tops out quickly. He is a savvy route-runner who shows good lateral burst and balance to generate separation with his cuts. The majority of his production, however, came out of the slot where Hill was able to physically dominate smaller cornerbacks and rarely saw press coverage." After shredding his knee last spring, the WR re-dedicated himself to the weight room. Brugler writes that he wasn't "a nifty athlete prior to the ACL tear," but believes he'll be in the top 100 mix if he just gets back to that physical level. Tony Pauline reported earlier this week that scouts are calling Hill a second-rounder.

Tony Pauline reports that during spring meetings Arizona redshirt senior WR Austin Hill "was stamped as a second day pick by scouts."

"I was informed earlier today Austin Hill/WR/Arizona was stamped as a second day pick by scouts during spring meetings," Pauline tweeted. Hill recently returned to regular duty this spring after suffering a torn ACL in the spring of 2013. Before Hill's injury, he led all receivers on the team in 2012 with 1,364 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Arizona prospect was also a Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist and earned All-Pac-12 Second-Team honors. If completely healthy, Hill has a great opportunity to showcase his talents to evaluators this upcoming season.

Arizona redshirt junior WR Austin Hill (knee) has been cleared to return to practice.

Hill hasn't done much athletically since he ruptured his ACL in spring ball. It was thought that he'd miss the 2013 season due to the injury, but Hill has a chance to shock his medical team. "His doctor from back home cleared him to take that next step," UA coach Rich Rodriguez said. "I don't know what that means as far as his availability or when he will play yet. He's been out there running around with the trainers most of the time. Starting this week, he'll be doing some stuff with Coach (Tony) Dews." Hill led the Wildcats with 81 catches for 1,364 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.

Arizona redshirt junior WR Austin Hill will miss the 2013 season due to a torn ACL.

Hill led all receivers on the team in 2012 with 1,364 yards and 11 touchdowns. It is obviously a big loss for the Rich Rodriguez coached Wildcats, but keep Hill's name in mind when preparing for the 2014 season.
