Auburn junior WR Jaylon Denson tore the patellar tendon in his left knee and will miss the remainder of the season.

"That's a big loss for us," Offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee said. "He's a guy that's really been the leader for us, plays a lot of snaps, does a lot of things that maybe people don't see." The junior caught three passes for 45 yards on the season.

Auburn junior WR Jaylon Denson has reportedly emerged at the X spot during spring workouts.

Auburn offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee added that backup Sammie Coates makes the "wow" plays down the field, but he still needs to develop into a consistent route runner. Sophomore Ricardo Louis "has shown he has the ability" to be a star.
