UCLA WR Kenneth Walker ran the 40-yard dash in 4.32 seconds during Tuesday's pro day.
Sizzling time for Walker, who did not receive an invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine. This past season, the 5-foot-9, 180-pounder caught 22 passes for 365 yards and four touchdowns. He also has some potential as a return man. Walker will likely have to fight his way onto a roster via undrafted free agency. Tue, Mar 21, 2017 09:27:00 PM

UCLA redshirt senior WR Kenneth Walker caught four passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 45-24 win over Arizona.

UCLA has been struggling mightily in the receiving corp this season, but there were plenty of signs of life on Saturday. Not only did Walker surpass 100 yards receiving, so did Darren Andrews (nine catches for 108 yards). For his part, the 5-foot-9, 175-pound Walker hauled in scoring passes of 62 and 29 yards in the third and fourth quarters, respectively. This was the redshirt senior's second 100-yard effort in five games, as he registered 115 yards against Texas A&M in the season-opener. In the three contests between those two 100-yard efforts, Walker caught just five passes for 70 yards.

UCLA redshirt senior WR Kenneth Walker ran a 10.56 second 100-meter dash.

The Bruins intend to use that speed this fall, especially with Jordan Payton, Thomas Duarte and Devin Fuller now playing on Sundays. "He could be one of the surprises in the country this year," UCLA HC Jim Mora said. "I know that's a really, really big statement to make. I just got a gut feeling about the kid. ... His problem has never been speed. We've all seen at times that he doesn't catch the ball as consistently as you'd like, but the last few weeks, he just has." Walker averaged almost 26 yards per catch on his nine receptions last season. The usage will go up this fall. "He's a tremendous big-play threat who could be a real bright spot for a retooled UCLA offense this fall if he continues to make strides with his catching," noted B/R's Justin Ferguson.
