ESPN's Mel Kiper chose Ohio State QB Kenny Guiton when asked what quarterback would surprise by getting drafted in May.
The analyst thinks Guiton could intrigue teams looking to develop an athletic backup. Guiton ran 4.78 and 4.76 second forties at Ohio State's Pro Day, and added a short shuttle of 4.31, a 31-inch vertical and a 9-9 broad jump. NFL.com's Gil Brandt said he "looked good" at the event. NFL.com's Gil Brandt believes Ohio State QB Kenny Guiton will "probably be a free agent and enter camp as someone's fourth quarterback."

Braxton Miller's former caddy has been getting more attention from the NFL than he got in Columbus, with the Patriots already locking in a March 26 workout. Guiton ran 4.78 and 4.76 second forties at Ohio State's Pro Day, and added a short shuttle of 4.31, a 31-inch vertical and a 9-foot, 9-inch broad jump. "He looked good and had a lot of poise throwing the ball," wrote Brandt.

The Patriots will work out Ohio State QB Kenny Guiton on March 26.

The news is already evoking flashbacks to Matt Cassel, but New England fans shouldn't expect to catch lightning in a backup collegiate QB bottle again. Guition threw for 893 yards and a 16/4 TD/INT ratio with a 66.4 completion percentage over 21 appearances with the Buckeyes, including two starts. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is known to like Urban Meyer-coached prospects. We don't see Guiton getting drafted. If not, he'll be a priority free agent.

The rosters for the 2014 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl have been announced.

The game, played on Saturday, January 18 at StubHub Center on the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills in Carson, Calif., features 110 draft-eligible players. The American Team, coached by Dennis Green, features a trio of QBs who were in the spotlight at one point or another this season in Missouri's James Franklin, Ohio State's Kenny Guiton and SMU's Garrett Gilbert. The National Team, coached by Dick Vermeil, features South Carolina QB Connor Shaw and Kansas RB James Sims.

Ohio State senior QB Kenny Guiton told reporters he hopes to be coaching at the school next year.

It is an interesting statement, since many suggested Guiton could draw a draft pick while filling in for Braxton Miller. Guiton has spent five years with the Buckeyes and will likely earn a camp invite with an NFL team.

Ohio State senior QB Kenny Guiton completed 8 of 11 attempts for 89 yards and a touchdown in the school's 56-0 win over Purdue.

Guiton added 98 rushing yards and two touchdowns in clean up duty against an overmatched Purdue team. After leading Ohio State to wins while Braxton Miller was sidelined, Guiton's snaps have been limited despite head coach Urban Meyer telling reporters they would work him in. We hope Guiton gets a postseason chance in an all star game.

Despite Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer answering "sure" when asked if junior QB Braxton Miller and senior QB Kenny Guiton will see playing time this week, beat writer Marcus Hartman doubts Guiton sees the field.

Throughout Guiton's run as the school's starting quarterback, Meyer continued to answer that the senior would see playing time once Miller returned from injury. That was not the case last week against Wisconsin, a game that showed the best parts of Miller's skills. The head coach will have a tough decision if Miller does struggle for a few series, which there is precedent for.

Ohio State senior QB Kenny Guiton now ranks over junior teammate Braxton Miller on Bucky Brooks' list of college passers.

Guiton now checks in at No. 15 after being previously unranked, while Miller dropped from No. 12 to unranked. "The fifth-year senior has been spectacular since stepping into the lineup, with an astonishing 168.1 passer rating and a 13:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio," Brooks writes. We are interested to see how head coach Urban Meyer handles the position moving forward.

Ohio State senior QB Kenny Guiton completed 24 of 34 attempts for 215 yards, six touchdowns and one interception.

This is an Ohio State record for most touchdowns in a single game. Guiton got his interception out of the way early but settled in and started firing daggers the rest of the game. Urban Meyer has said Guiton will see playing time even when Braxton Miller is 100 percent, and we believe him.

Dane Brugler of NFLDraftScout.com said it's too early to say whether or not Ohio State senior QB Kenny Guiton is a draft prospect.

Guiton completed 21 of 32 attempts for 276 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 92 yards in a 52-34 victory over Cal on Saturday. "Next level evaluators love raw, talented players who show the physical ability and mental make-up that can be developed, especially at the quarterback position," Brugler wrote. "Last year the San Francisco 49ers drafted former South Florida quarterback B.J. Daniels in the seventh round after a lackluster career at South Florida, but the Niners saw a worthwhile project. And it wouldn't be surprising if a NFL team thought the same about Guiton next May." Head coach Urban Meyer has insinuated that Guiton could see the field even when Braxton Miller returns from injury.

Ohio State senior QB Kenny Guiton completed 21 of 32 attempts for 276 yards and four touchdowns in a 52-34 Cal.

He added 92 rushing yards. Head coach Urban Meyer insinuated Guiton could see playing time even when Braxton Miller returns thanks to his great play over the last two weeks. The senior isn't afraid to challenge vertically and has been very efficient. Don't be surprised if Guiton earns a postseason all-star appearance and a possible draft selection.

Ohio State beat writer Doug Lesmerises believes senior QB Kenny Guiton is talented enough to start for 75 other schools.

"This isn't to pretend that I hold expertise on every quarterback situation in the nation," Lesmerises writes. "Far from it... If it was a close call, I tried to lead toward Guiton." That means 49 starting passers are better than Guiton right now in the eyes of Lesmerises. We think the backup quarterback has a shot to be drafted, or at least invited to an NFL camp, especially if he continues to play in place of an injured Braxton Miller.

Ohio State backup senior QB Ken Guiton's hand injury is worse than initially expected.

Buckeyes beat writer Guy Cipriano notes Guiton's throwing hand will be in a splint for four weeks and there's a possibility he suffered a bone chip or fracture. The senior will likely hold on to his place in the quarterback pecking order.

Ohio State senior backup QB Ken Guiton recently suffered a hand injury.

Head coach Urban Meyer did not disclose the severity of the injury, but beat writer Bill Rabinowitz believes it is minor. "Because of NCAA rules, Meyer is not allowed to coach players in the summer," Rabinowitz writes. "But head strength coach Mickey Marotti keeps him quite well-informed."
